Exactly. This is a no-brainer. I didn't have to think or analyze anything. The answer is Peyton. It's always Peyton.
He is regarded as one of the best to ever play at the most important position on the field. He is the best of the best. Why would you not want to take the best of the best?
Sure, he doesn't have the wheels like Dobbs to run a spread, but I am confident if Butch could hypothetically have Peyton Manning play QB that he could develop a competent offensive gameplan to backup the best there ever was. Our receivers are not terrible, they are quite talented. They just need someone who can throw the ball their way.
It's not Peyton's lack of wheels that would lead me to rather take a defensive game changer. It's our OL. Without Dobbs' mobility last year, they probably would've given up a lot more sacks.
