I am friends with a coach at Georgia Tech. He knows I'm a VFL. He is giving me a sideline pass to the opener. I don't know anything about how that works but I imagine I will be quarantined to the Georgia Tech sideline. Obviously out of respect for my friend I can't deck myself out in all my orange. Anybody have a suggestion for a neutral color? Can I get away with the smoky grey? In all seriousness I don't really care what I wear, but I am worried that I will not be able to contain myself when the vols do something big. After all, I am the guy that screamed at the TV during the games. Either way I think it will be a cool experience. Maybe I'll have an opportunity to sneak to the correct side line.

Black. I wouldn't rep the Vols on their sideline when you're there at a coach's invitation.

Both teams have white as a second color.

Black? Could be in the 90s, I'd go with something that will increase your chance of getting to do something like that again in the future. In other words, nothing orange.

Then...you LOSE your "VFL Card!"

Seriously though...I'd wear Tennessee, since you say he "KNOWS you are a VFL... "

Obviously you are a considerate and respectful guy, and I'm guessing the coach realized that before giving you the pass. I'd suggest just asking him. I'm sure he doesn't expect you to be suited up like a tech fan, and I can't imagine he'd be anything other than appreciative at your having the good taste to ask.

I recommend black shoes, black pants and a shirt with vertical black and white stripes. Ball cap and whistle around your neck.

Dress up as a GT coach. Send 4th stringers to sub in their huddles, step out on the field and get them penalized, etc. There is much work to be done that night.

Opponents sideline? White tank top; overalls with one strap unfastened; flip flops; and a GaTech baseball cap with the tallest crown, biggest logo, and flattest brim that you can find.

Wear a shirt with the RAID logo on it. Nothing kills yellow jackets like RAID.

I would suggest either a shirt that is just plain orange, no logo. or if you want something with UT on it find it in a monotone. White shirt with orange logo would be third option. jmo.

Dude, it's practically a dome. The roof will be shut most likely.

Also, it's at 8 PM.

Dude, it's practically a dome. The roof will be shut most likely.

Also, it's at 8 PM.

On July 25, 2017, stadium officials reported that the roof will be in the closed position during the Falcons' preseason games as well as their regular season opener and the Chick-fil-A Kickoff games while contractors continue to fine tune the roof to allow all eight panels to work in sync. Falcons' President Rich McKay stated that the roof would remain closed whenever outside temperatures exceed 80 °F (27 °C).[45]
