What to do in Nashville

I figured as much, but it just sounded funny. :) Enjoy your time in Nashvegas! I miss it. I'm from Mt. Juliet originally, grew up there, but moved to Chattanooga for college and now live in Ringgold, GA. Every time I go back home to visit, something new is in Nashville or MJ. I can't keep up anymore!
Did you graduate from MJHS? If so,what year did you graduate?

The Lower Broadway stretch of music venues is awesome. 2nd Avenue is a great place to get stabbed.

Hardly, the downtown tourist areas are about the safest place in town. Nashville's economy depends on it.

I'm a big fan of the dueling piano bar, the Big Bang. Great atmosphere everbody in the joint will be singing at times. Women are gorgeous and it's the best atmosphere to meet people.

Supposedly the battle of the bands between UNC and UT bands is pretty cool. I've never seen it but I plan on checking it out this year.

The Loveless and the Pancake Pantry were on Food Paradise a few days ago. I'm looking forward to trying one of these places while I'm in town.

The lady that had made biscuits there passed away over the summer.

I haven't eaten there since then.

Been there before she passed and after. Biscuits are still the same. You do realize she didn't invent their recipe right? She just made them the last several years.

If you want the best meat&3 around, hit the Sylvan Park Restaraunt, it is AMAZING!...And it's only a short trip from downtown, right off of Murphy Road... For some killer live music, check out 3rd and Lindsley...They have 2 shows a night and they are usually awesome...If you have time, take a cruise on the General Jackson as well..Lots of stuff to do but if folks let me know when they'll be gettin' here, I'll have a UT party at Pope's Place in Madison which is about 7 miles from downtown..great little neighborhood bar....

anyone know if the opryland mall has reopened?

Nope hasn't reopened and according to some of the people at Opryland Hotel it may not ever open again. They are in the middle of a huge court battle with insurance companies and mostly all stores have pulled out for good.

The only place that did stay and has reopened is the Bass Pro Shop.

If you want to drop a good chunk of change on a meal and don't want a steak, check out Flyte, Tayst, Watermark, The Acorn, Margot,or Park Cafe.

If you want cheap diner food check out The Hermitage Grill. They are open 10pm to 2 pm though. A great Waffle House alternative.

If you want to bar crawl, go to Demumbreum St by the round-about. They won't be nearly as busy or touristy as the honky-tonks. 2nd Ave does have Jacks BBQ though.

Another good area to go eat is 12South. They have a great burger place called burger up, mafiaoza's has good pizza and the 12 South Taproom has good beer. Speaking of beer. The best beer selection in town is at the Flying Saucer, skip the Beer Seller. Plus the waitresses at Flying Saucer dress up like school girls.

A couple of good sports bars are in Green Hills. Crows Nest is pretty good and if you are a smoker you can smoke at Joe's Place right next door. Neither are fancy just good solid sports bars. Sam's in Hillsboro Village, by Pancake Pantry is also a good one.

It will eventually re-open. They might have to sell it and it will probably be quite a bit different, but it will be open again.
