Once Tennessee is up 21-0 or 28-0 in the first quarter, I want to see new quarterbacks. I don't really care who they are, as long as their names aren't McNulty, Greer, or Smith.

Put in Chumley, Cousins, Means, and Shanbour. All of them. Put a new one in every series. I honestly don't see what difference it would make.

I honestly believe that any of those four simply walking into the huddle and saying, "you give me a post, you give me a slant, you go out in the flat, and you go long" and the results would be about the same as they have been all season long.

I mean, how could they be worse? And, please...please after these four starts, do not feed me this "developing Smith for next year" line, okay? He is not going to play quarterback for the new head coach if we are truly hiring in a guy with offensive spurs.

Unless you are ok with an 88-0 final score, this is a very bad idea.

The first live action these QB's will see, and you want it to be against a SEC team? There may be 4 pic sixes if this occurred 8"

"i think we should call in sick"

"Tennessee can name the score here. We won't score more than 10 points, they won't score less than 50. It really won't surprise me if this is a Portland State style ass-kicking.

LOL!! God bless them. However, that post looks eerily similar to some around here over the last 7 years or so.

I always feel bad for fans of teams like this. It has to be hard to root for a team that will never, ever have a chance to sniff real success and routinely trades money for a vicious beatdown. If you see a NT fan, welcome them to Knoxville and be a courteous fan.

This! I just hope for a clean and injury free game for both teams.

Butch will not run up the score on them. He will put it out of reach, and then run the offense with young guys.

Butch has been pretty steady in his "stop at 50" technique he usually employs for blowouts.

They had a bit of success 2 years ago when they went 9-4, won The Heart of Dallas Bowl, and gave Georgia a tough game for about 3 quarters. They've fallen off a cliff since then. Not really sure what happened.

So there was one post two days ago on the NT forum? LOL. I wonder how many mean greeners make it to K-Town for this one.

Lets pull the starters midway through the 2nd, ride the 2s and 3s into the 3rd, then start pulling from the student section til the final whistle. Everyone minus jumper should see action

Yeah they held Gurley to 21 rushes for 91 yards. That was probably his worst game that year. Weird.

Fun fact North Texas is known as the "Mean Green" and their greatest player of all time was the Pittsburg Steelers "Mean Joe" Greene.

this post makes any thoughts of a make fun of North Texas thread seem really unclassy now.

Yup it would be classless to put 80 + on a team like this. The sooner we can put backups in the better for both squads

I agree but the only problem is our 2nd and 3rd string will run all over them. If the put in their 2nd and 3rd string d just imagine how bad they will be based on how bad their starting d is.
