What System(s) did you purchase? Playstation 4, or Xbox One?

P.S. 4 or Xbox One?

I am looking at getting some input and feedback on the pros and cons of each system, as well as the popularity of both given their recent launch statuses. Which one is currently sitting under your television screen, and why?

I got a Playstation, made the decision when MS came out with all their DRM stuff that they've since reneged on.

I'm very happy with it, Battlefield has had some issues but those appear to be on the DICE/EA end, not the console. Haven't gotten particularly deep into what the system can do, as i don't use it for much other than games.

I got the Xbox One. Originally, I was all PS4 until MS changed their DRM policies. All of my friends had a 360 and that's what I've always played, so that helped my decision as well.

I'm loving it so far. The whole power advantage with the PS4 doesn't bother me that much. I play games to have fun with friends. And all of my friends got the One.

However, I'll probably get a PS4 later on next year maybe. I owned a PS3 but mainly just used it for blurays. I also didn't care for the PS3 controller and PSN's problems.

I got the PS4 and I love it so far. PSN has been really good so far, no lag for me (ea/dice screwed up BF4). I am really enjoying the controller, it is bigger and feels better. I also watch my amazon prime movies and shows through the system. I will eventually get an Xbox One.

Went PS4 - MS has been on my $%^@ list for a long time - mainly due to their obscene hardware failure rates and overly aggressive business practices.

Happy with my choice.

I think this is the route I will take for now as well. It seems the Xbox One has some kinks to work out as I'm hearing it's having it's fair share of problems. I wasn't too high on hearing that some the launch titles wouldn't be in 1080p.

Forgoing both consoles In favor of updating my rig. For less than the cost of a PS4 I can update it to run at the same level and for the cost of a ps4 or xbone I can smash them and leave them in the dust for the next 8 years

Well, that's an interesting approach.

Lol. Well I mean I'm running an i7 right now that's OCed to 4GHz. Quad core multi-threaded. I just plan on upgrading my RAM and gfx card. There's lots of viable options that would put my system around the graphical power of a PS4 for about 150-200 bucks and RAM is stupid cheap right now. I just have triple channel RAM on my mobo so I have to go to 12GBs of RAM.

Didn't mean to come off abrasive or anything if I did. The only thing I would buy a console for is NCAA and they're axing it last I heard.

PS4 all the way! Been a fan of PlayStation since the first one and the platform has never let me down!

I'm loving my PS4 so far! Powerful, beautiful, purrs like a kitten and runs like a champ! Greatness Awaits!

You didn't come off as abrasive. Just sound like a miserable human being to be around

I finally hooked up my cable box and receiver to my xbox one. It's pretty nice if you're into controlling your entertainment setup via voice.

I think it's odd that neither system had voice messages. Xbox did, but apparently scrapped them. The whole party system is worse on the one than it was on 360.

There are pros and cons to each system. The ps4 is easier to just log on and play games but the network outages are seeming like a recurring theme. And the voice chat quality isn't on the same planet as Xbox. That may be network related or the crappy headset included with the system could be to blame.

I can't decide on which one I want. I've been a PS guy from the beginning. Ended up getting rid of my Xbox's.

Wow, running a comic book store must be an exciting and profitable job

I'm in the same boat as far as undecided on what system

If you don't care about running your tv through the system, or the camera, and you don't have any ties to microsoft exclusives, the PS4 is a fine system for $100 less.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.
