So proud of Coach Jones, his staff and the Vols today on their upset of #11 South Carolina and the ol' ball coach, Steve Spurrier on winning 23-21!
Just another brick!

It's still early. The next few weeks aren't easy, especially with Missouri beating Florida today and UGA last week. Bama is another story. Today's win could go a long way in how the rest of the season goes. This game today I had in my column as a toss up. Thus far we are 4-3 and need 2 more wins to be bowl eligible. Got to take them one at a time. The big games down the stretch, in my opnion, are Missouri and Auburn. Vols can beat Kentucky and maybe Vandy (they are playing good now). Would be nice to see 7 wins for the 1st year Coach of the Vols!

It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!

Now take that Steve Spurrier and those who doubted Coach Butch Jones!

Didnt agree with the punt. If Shaw is in the game spurrier probably doesn't waste 2 timeouts & gets the first. Game Over. It all worked out though thanks to North.

I say what I have said all along Jones is our guy. He appreciates our tradition, appreciates our fanbase, and can recruit like hell. Pretty good for a first year coach. He has instilled confidence in this team and it makes me smile thinking about it.

What makes you think that would have mattered given Shaw's performance?

Go Vols

I agreed with the punt. I think it was absolutely the right call. If you don't make it you give up way too much field position. The defense was playing pretty well so why chance it.

We need to take it game by game right now. It was a solid win and things went our way, but we can't act like we r out of the weeds just yet.

I was glad to see how CBJ pretty much just took it in and let out a breath at the end of the game. We have a long way to go still. Is he the "guy"...who knows 100% but this fan base need to take it game by game if it really wants long term success. Not act like we r "back" because of it. The way auburn, mizzou, and heck even Vandy played today we can't have our guard down. Flame outs by "The Legion of Miserable" r to much the norm around these parts.

GBO!!!

We HAVE been taking it game by game. Otherwise, in full agreement with what you said. For now, I am just enjoying the old ballz coach leaving town with a loss.

I think some of the most reasonable do take it game by game but not the majority. Unfortunately. The "what have u done for me lately" crowd. These are the ones that flame out the hardest and aren't capable of seeing the underlying benefits for future success.

I too enjoy seeing the ol ball coach go home with the his tail between his legs. Knowing how much this loss in Neyland chaps the Mother F'rs hide is great. Ha!!!

We still need alot of really good bricks over the next few years to build back up to being a top 10 team consistently like we should be.

The good news is that we have a real football coach finally that appreciates everything Tennessee, isn't scared to go for it on 4th down when the situation is right, recruits well, teaches real football fundementals and motivates the kids to believe in their team and fight as hard as they can for 60 minutes in every game.

I'm totally convinced we're finally back on the right road but I also understand it's still going to take a few more years and great players to get us back to where we should always be.

Sending the old ball coach home with a huge upset LOSS is excellent icing on the cake for me.

We still have a really tough road to travel the rest of this season but now our kids finally learned how to WIN a really tough game and that's 1 of the hardest lessons for a coach to teach.

It's always great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

I was very, very excited about Coach Jones until recent video evidence emerged that clearly demonstrates that he is pro "woo."

He's dead to me.

I've been full butch since Vic Wharton committed. This was such a great win. I think we will go bowling this year. :)

Butch is doing a great job . He started the season with a bunch of new receivers , a completely green QB , and a what was the worse defense in Vols history . He is competing for wins and getting wins now. Lets not forget that we are still undermanned in terms of depth and across the board talent .

I think next season could very well be more of a step in the right direction and CBJ is killing it on the recruiting trail ...so the future looks wide open
