Senior QB
OT vs TAM 1st down 2nd OT and you throw a desperation pass over the middle intercepted and you have 3 more downs, Freshman mistake = loss.

last drive circa 3 minutes left vs USCe 1st down and you throw a desperation pass over the middle intercepted and you have 3 more downs, Freshman mistake = loss.

wash rinse repeat

I said 3 yrs ago it was a mistake making him the starter! He can definitely run but he cannot throw!

I'm not paid millions to make these decisions, but we are so predictable, in that all D's need to do is spy Dobbs with LB, and pack the box. We don't scare anyone down field. If I were OC for a day, I'd take the first two series and have Dobbs go long on multiple attempts...just to let people know we're being aggressive. Some of these guys can make plays, as have seen with Jennings.

I would like to see us start working toward next year. More reps for Dormady and others . We're still going to be bowl eligible doesn't matter which one. Stop trying to force a round peg into a square hole.

Not playing QB at the college level I'm sure I can't comprehend what goes through their mind during a play but it really seems like Dobbs makes his mind up on what he's going to do before the play unfolds whether it's a run or pass

While I agree in theory that we need to throw some deep passes to move the defense back off the line, we just don't have an offensive line scheme that can give our passer more than 1-2 seconds to throw the ball most the time -- and the receivers can't get open for whatever reason (maybe the complicated routes that Az teaches them)

Dobbs is not a pocket passer but this staff loves to use guys in roles they are not cut out for. Dobbs is at his best when the play breaks down and he gets to improvise (take off and run). Time to try something new

Shocking and sad to his regression this year. Falls on the coach to have the QB locked in and ready to play by using his talents and hiding the weaknesses. I appreciate everything that JD has done for the program but that abomination last night was just unacceptable.

Contributing factor is OL play. When you have zero time to make a decent read, he just looks that much worse. The OL gave up six sacks and Dobbs never had time to throw, Once again we make someone look like the second coming of the Steel Curtain.

I still like Dobbs, but I'll love him when he graduates.

There is nothing on tape that shows me Dobbs is the best passing option we have on this team. At all.

he was aiming all his throws which gets him in trouble. Maybe all the picks have started to take their toll on his confidence

I was the last person to hate on Dobbs. He's a good kid and he's been serviceable but we need someone in there who can throw. His continued interceptions have lost 2 games now

Dobbs can't pass gas!

I love what he represents and what he has contributed.
It is time to let the young guns have a go. We literally have nothing to lose and we might actually show some WR recruits that if we had a qb with an arm we might throw.

No but we he wins bowl games and beats Florida and UGA you can't just pull him out

Why can't we give the others a shot. They can't throw passes and win bowl and rivalry games if they are never given the shot.
Muschump just beat us doing that very thing. Think he found something special. Eason at ga is going to be a menace as well

I've been behind Dobbs all season, but my confidence is gone now. I just looked up the stats: Dobbs is tied for 2nd for most interceptions among all FBS quarterbacks. Factor in his fumbles and I'm guessing he has more turnovers than any other college player this season.
