What Other Message Boards are Saying-Mizzou Edition

I have went to 4 or 5 different boards for Mizzou, and they are either extremely difficult to follow, or "pay" sites that wont let me read any content.

The only one I could access and read without putting random statements together to make sense came from: How can...

Dooley gotta go. His game plans are garbage. If something doesn’t work it feels like the entire stadium knows what’s coming next, yet we still do it. Kind of like when the announcers were saying this screams play action and we run it up the gut and get stuffed.

The team doesn’t like the QB.

Rumors I've heard is Odom has turned into a douche and the coaches are over it

Albert, Simms, Rountree, and Durant should be running their side of the ball. Bryant as the QB has to lead but those 4 guys have 3+ years of skin in this thing. I been underwhelmed by all but Durant who has been the steadiest player on the oline.

Odom says he could "talk for a while" about the difference between the offense against Ole Miss and today, but says in a nutshell the coaching staff isn't giving them opportunities to make plays. Says the team has good enough players to move the ball.

Odom doesn't deserve another chance.

Dooley still has a year left on his deal, I believe. I wouldn’t expect him to be fired.
Funny how quickly things change. Last year everyone was worrying about us losing Dooley and now they want him fired. Everybody hated Walters, but now they want him to stay.

Dooley wasn’t his first choice. The contracts Mizzou offered to other options forced Odom pretty far down the list.
They need to find out what caused the nose dive after Ole Miss and make decisions from there.

Every week the run game struggled. It has been clear all year long this offense was not where it needed to be. Use all the stats you want but it just go back and watch the games

Last year was OC first time ever as OC. This year it is worst! What cause of the declined of the offense? KB lack to throw over 20 yards? That helped other teams to stack up front and a few to the middle of field. That is what happening so far with good defense or teams seeing that weakness from Kelly Bryant.

Does a loss to UT cost Odom his job?

Yep, I thought they were really going to challenge for the East this year the way their schedule was set up. I really think Derek Dooley is the problem moreso than Odom, but he is the one who hired him.

Tennessee is playing much better football right now. I would not be surprised to see them beat Mizzou by more than a TD.

Anyone who has ever watched Kelly Bryant play QB could tell you he sucks and is exponentially worse than what Lock gave you.

To be honest, there hasn’t been any threads dedicated to UT. Its all about Dooley and Odom. Oh, and KB

Sure there was. We lost Drew Lock and Emmanuel Hall and retained Dooley.

Looks like the play calling has changed to me. Puts more pressure on the OL. We barely see any RPO plays this season. Except when Bazelak was playing against Georgia

So Dooley doesn’t know what he’s doing. I do agree with that.

In the few days that I have been trying to get some UT threads, there has only been one solely dedicated to playing UT. They are all wanting Odom fired, Dooley Fired, KB benched, etc. They seem to be more focused on themselves rather than the game Saturday. This site has quite a bit of other fans posting as well so it is fan friendly from other schools.

At least one guy got it right, Bryant isn't all that ! He is definitely nowhere in the ballpark close to Lock. Rountree should be having way more success and would if he had a better QB throwing threat.

My immediate thoughts after reading this are that in college, a quarterback can make or break a team. If you have the right guy, the sky is the limit. If you have a struggling qb, you can basically do nothing.
But Pruitt is proving my theory wrong. He is proving that you can win with mediocre qb play.

The Truth is Odom is horrible as a Head coach. He is so full of hubris and the Odom way he can't get out of his own way. He was gifted a incredible opportunity at Mizzou with a minimal resume other than he was a former player and current DC. He quickly turned his back on the Guy who hired him GP and decided to Junk our Defensive scheme that returned 9 starters and was top 10 rated. We quickly imploded and he had to switch back to the previous defense to appease his players revolt and to salvage his first season. He promptly reverted back to his dream scheme his second year with the same results and he had to again go back to a even front defense. He has had to fire two coaches Mid-season. He made a outrageous claim to the media that he inherited a bottom feeder program on life support, which is had issues but had a lot of talent left over From GP. His teams have played uninspired in bowl games and acted like punks at time with zero discipline.

I not a huge fan of Dooley but in Truth he doesn't have much to work with on offense this year. For some reason the OL has checked out or wasn't that good,Rountree has been banged up and our WR are just not that good do to average recruiting and worse development. The defense has held up their end of the deal but the Offense not so much. But Odom comments seem like his normal M.O. to place blame somewhere else to save his backside so he can keep his Millions without actually producing. And in reality all Odom had to do was beat Wy,UK,Vandy and Ark. and he would of got a extension and Salary increase. If he beat Tenn as well then his bump and extension would of been rather large and the majority of the fan base would of been Very VERY happy.

But in True Odom fashion he blew a Easy SEC schedule like a Hooker on Broadway. The sad thing is he will beat Ark. after we lose to you guys and he will retain his job for another reason. We are not Tenn. we can't fire a 6-6 coach who goes Bowling.

Oh tigerboards format is bad and so outdated from a different by gone era....but that has almost made it Legendary in a Cult like manner for never changing. It get's a ton of traffic it appears, but it's hard to keep up with because of it's layout and a Thread getting quickly buried down the page. And it's pretty Old school as far as letting opinions fly and being discussed so that is great as well. But it's not easy on the eyes's by any means.
