Bama fans, while confident after the routing of Texas AM yesterday, are still a bit unsure about their team. I think they have seen this year that they are beatable by lesser teams. They took the close Arkansas win pretty hard, especially after Arkansas pretty much got killed by UGA yesterday. Don't get me wrong, we don't scare them at all, just an observation. Here's what the Bama faithful and all their bandwagoners are saying regarding Saturday's game in Neyland:
-In short, they are pretty sure they will blow us out
-I've seen Butch referred to as Derek Dooley 2 on a few occasions.
-They are posting threads with links to threads from UT boards that talk about how bad they will beat us.
-They posted a thread about opening lines and no one seemed to bat an eye at the fact that theirs was only 15.5, which was surprising.
-I did see a thread titled "I feel so sorry for TN"
-This threw me a curveball, there were a huge number of Bama fans predicting us to upset Ole Miss last week. They were disappointed.
-The fans seem pretty geared up for this game. They want to "get revenge for all the Kiffin hate" and "empty our stadium by halftime"
-This should infuriate everyone:
-Every post I read discussing our team is the same, and very accurate. In the sense that they think our offense is terrible and our defense is very good.
-They believe the key to winning is to keep our offense off the field and wear down our defense, just like Ole Miss did.
-They think Sims is the best QB we will play this year.
-Analysis of our defense:
-More:
-The only ones that worry about this game keep bringing up Arkansas. They feel we are a much better team than Ark, especially on the defensive side.
-Seems like they are pretty upset with us at the fact that no one cares about the 3rd Saturday in October anymore. Saying they miss when the rivalry was relevant.
-I have seen a lot of posters saying regardless of the current relevance of the Iron Bowl, they still hate UT way more.
-General score predictions...... let's just say they have them winning big and us scoring very little.
-They are concerned about what will happen if they win out and Ole Miss does too. This applies to us because they are wanting to make sure they beat us worse than Ole Miss did so it looks better for them.
-They don't do a "Women of (insert opposing school)" thread like we do, but they do a "Women you are related to that you've hooked up with" thread.
(ok I made that part up)

I get the vibe that if yesterday hadn't happened (us getting taken to the woodshed and them taking TAMU to the woodshed) they may be much more paranoid about this one, but they feel like they are trending up now. This is our last opportunity for a signature win this year. Make it count Butch.
