-I sure hope this isn't a "get right" game for Tennessee. It feels as such coming off their Texas loss. If so, queue Shane Falco sharing his 1996 Sugar Bowl experience-quicksand. However, hope does spring eternal. Just win baby!

-An Auburn win will require Brown protecting the football and the defense continuing to show up. Auburn is good enough to win, but we need to lock in on all phases to do so.

-I don't think Tennessee is really that good, but I also don't think we're good enough to beat them.

-We can't run the football, we haven't been able to all year. Tennessee's defense is crazy, they're going to being physical and push us around. Tennessee wins this one.

-Another slow start on offense will be disastrous in Knoxville. Put your money on The Vols.

-I think Golesh goes in and out coaches Heupel. You can call me crazy all you want, but if anyone knows Heupel, it's Golesh.

-I have not seen enough to think we have a shot in this game. Tennessee just played the #1 team in the country and only lost by 3. I'm afraid they might run us out of Neyland fairly quick.

-Tennessee is something we are not: PHYSICAL

-Both teams want to do the exact same thing: spread the field with massive, wide splits, run lightning-fast tempo, and throw deep choice routes. It’s going to come down to pure execution and who stops the run better.

-If we can hit a few early chunk plays and force Tennessee away from their ground game, we put the pressure squarely on their quarterback to go score-for-score with us. If we let them dominate time of possession, we're in trouble.

-Imagine the absolute meltdown in Knoxville if Heupel loses at home to his former assistant. If we jump on them early, that stadium is going to get incredibly tense, incredibly fast.

-Knowles has that Vols front seven playing lights out right now. They kept Tennessee in the game against Texas even when Heupel's offense couldn't move the ball. If our offensive line can't handle the stunts and blitzes Knowles throws at us, Byrum Brown is going to be running for his life all afternoon.

-Anyone expecting a win on Saturday is completely delusional.

-This has 'disaster' written all over it. Everyone on this board keeps talking about Alex Golesh having the 'insider blueprint' on Heupel. Guess what? Heupel has the blueprint on Golesh too! He knows exactly how to stop this offense because he helped create it. If we go three-and-out on our first two drives, Neyland is going to swallow this team alive.

-Knowles is a defensive genius for a reason. He’s going to run those disguised safety blitzes and completely take away the middle of the field. If we can't hit the deep shots on the outside because our WRs can't beat SEC press coverage, our entire offense stalls out. We’ll be staring at 3rd and 12 all afternoon.

-I’ve seen this movie before. We look decent against mediocre teams, the fanbase gets hyped up thinking we've turned a corner, and then we go into a hostile SEC stadium and look like we've never played football before. Expect 5 pre-snap penalties, 2 turnovers in our own territory, and an early exit to the bars by the third quarter.

I hate to say it, but this sounds familiar.

Well I know one idiot who's going to be shocked this Saturday.

I swear, this "wide splits fast tempo" thing still keeps getting passed around. Even the Youtube channels do it. Hell, Crain and Cone were still saying it this year about Tennessee all the way to the Georgia Tech game. Easiest way in the world to tell that they aren't watching a damn bit of UT's games.

They sound like us "nationers" following games like Saturday's. Correct that,, like us "nationers" who do not see shi- and smell roses! 🤣

Never have hated Barn. Like most UT fans I know, we never play them much in football like back when I was a kid...not much to hate. Plus we pull for them to beat Bama every year 😄 If our offense shows a pulse and can score 20-24 points we should be good vs Barn and Arky. This defense is stout. Should get to Bama at 5-1 here in Neyland. How much the offense progresses will dictate whether or not we have a shot to beat the Gumps IMO. Knowles and staff have been amazing. Super impressed

Almost no one is impressed by our “narrow loss” against Texas, except a few knuckleheads who didn’t watch the game.

They should be... Because all of our issues are correctable. That's again for the umpteenth time.... A true freshman qb. Sometimes it takes a good punch in the face to trigger the next evolution. The defense being that solid 4 games into the first year should give you more than enough to be impressed by. The offense will develop.

I’m impressed by the defense, as I was impressed by Auburn’s 2025 defense. It may not be enough to win games. We have to figure out what works for this offense and I don’t see those answers right now.

“Woodyball” (See Vanderbilt) didn’t work all that well and the SEC wasn’t nearly as stout back in the 90’s.

They must not watch us much if they think we play press coverage or would ever dominate time of possession. That one is right about things getting tight real fast if we fall behind by a couple scores.

They had several things wrong.

Must win for Heupel saturday he can’t afford to lose to Golesh and this mediocre Auburn squad.
This should be put everywhere so people see it. He absolutely cannot afford to lose Saturday. In the words of Dustin Poirier "It's gonna be bad my Ninja."
