What message does it send to the rest of the team when the head coach does not discipline a player who repeatedly accosts an assistant coach, and the assistant coach subsequently leaves the program. Brent Hubbs and Jimmy Hyams are both reporting this as fact. I believe it says that some players are above the rules. I would not want to be an assistant coach for Dooley next year. I think he opened Pandora's box.

Probably says that this should be merged with the other threads.

What message would it send if a position coach wouldn't conform to a coordinator and wasn't dealt with?

If this is what was actually going on then it is a huge problem, and no doubt affects Dooley's credibility.

As close as they are I wonder if (this was happening) Nance ever tried to get Rogers in check.

It's looking more and more like it's time to cut a certain primma donna wide receiver loose and send him back to Calhoun, GA !!!

so Vol fans would have embraced Dooley's methods if he had benched DR and it cost us a win (over Vandy perhaps)?

yeah, I can believe that

If the players perceive that DaRick receives preferential treatment because of his star status and is allowed to disrespect his coaches, it will set a dangerous precedence, even if it's not the only reason that Bagget left Tennessee.

If you think DR was the reason CB left then I feel sorry for you my friend.. You need to stop drinking the bong water... You people need to stop being so dramatic and calm down.. you're like a bunch of 14 year girls with middle school drama...

I would say that it is time to fire the Asst Coach if he cannot handle it....If he lets it go then the asst coach is weak.....If he has to go to mommy to discipline a player then he has no buisness coaching.....Crap like this is insubordnation and most coaches know that you let this go and you will never earn the respect of the players.....So the asst coach needs to grow a set......

If Dooley calls him down on it then fine but if it were me I would light a fire under the players A** and the HC would have to punish me for doing it. I would do it until the player got the message....

Ain't got time to deal with this.....When in charge take charge......

All teams have that to some extent especially when your talking about the perception that players have. The extent of the issue is the key. I choose to believe this has been over blown and the truth is somewhere in the middle. A 20 year old shouting at a coach is the norm and that doesn't bother me at all. If it happens every day and nothing is done then I am with you. Until that is confirmed this is a lot about nothing.

This is entirely useless.

So is Hyams, IMO.

The Comparisons to Owens have not yet been validated at all. I've not seen Rogers publicly thrash any of his quarterbacks, and all his comments have been generally positive.

We know he's not creating problems with his comments in the media, twitter, etc...

We don't know what he's done behind the scenes for sure yet. Not at all.

So, Hubbs or not this is the definition of speculation.

Count me off the 'Go home Rogers' campaign.

dooley is in a tough spot. but remember we are on the outside. so many stories coming out it's hard to fathom everything we hear is actually happening. what we need now is some silence from the inside. seems like dooley would address this with the team.

The same message the NFL shows by letting convicted Felons fresh out of jail play and make millions. It's ok to break rules, disrespect, and commit crimes. You will still get to play who cares if kids see this.

Had me at Hubbs.

Had me at Hubbs as well

"He tells me he's retiring. Multiple people have told me it's not about da'rick. Baggett was complimentary to me about Rogers the last few weeks. I don't think da'rick has forced him into retirement."

Let Baggett's replacement see if he can reign him in, first. Besides, alot of smoke on Rogers, but I don't think we have any concrete info yet

There is no wonder you are delusional if you base your thoughts on the Media darlings who get paid to stir the pot whether it is true or not. Hyams needs to be ran out of Knoxville for his bias incompetence and Hubbs needs to stick to recruiting only.

What part of market share is confusing to fans? the more they stir the pot the more delusional listeners tune in,the more that tune in equals to market share and the more advertising dollars they can command

No Coach trying to create chemistry and rebuild a program would tolerate the things that the Media is purporting. Use common sense.....

Both have been credible in the past.
