As good as the defense is, they were on the field way too long Sat. I think they were just exhausted at that point. I doubt if the defense, or any other part of the team, is playing for or against the coaches. It's not like Fulmer is in any real danger of getting fired.

Pretty sure. He has done alot for us. Some of us who can still remember what it was like to be a UT fan in the 70s and early 80s may have a better perspective on things than younger folks.

Used to be in this country a man worked 30 years or so for a company and retired...nowadays they say its about 7 years average before folks change jobs, get laid off, fired, etc....CPF knows Im sure he has no clause in his contract that says he cant be fired. Thats up to Hamilton and the brain trust at UT. I feel CPF has done a good job as a coach in some areas, some areas he comes up short. If the news came out at the season end he was let go I cant say Id be suprised, I doubt he would either truth be known.

No, he sent the message that our defense scores more than our offense.

I hate to be in his shoes. He has known randy since his freshman year in college and to tell him he needs to go will probably tear him up. I know it may seem easy because of the lack of results but damn it is never easy letting someone go who has done their best or never broke any rules.

I would've said the same thing about another UT coach at this point in the 92 season. If we wind up going 7-4 or 6-5 I wouldn't bet on anything, especially if he refuses to make necessary changes. :twocents:
