Although UT sucks this year, it is likely that some of the juniors have had enough and are going to go pro. Since new coach is going to get a late start recruiting, I think its worth identifying our needs? Who do you think will leave early? Do you know if any of them have already graduated?

DT Dan Williams

TE Brandon Warren

LB Rico McCoy

DE Wes Brown

OG Jacques McClendon

C Josh McNeil

LB Gerald Williams

RB Montario Hardesty

Considering the success LBs have had getting drafted under Chavis, I think Rico McCoy may end up leaving like Mayo did.

I wouldn't doubt if Dan Williams left as well.

If Dan Williams and Rico stay and we hold onto Marlon Walls and Jerod Askew, we would have a pretty scary front seven to compliment the goon squad. And if Dan Williams and McCoy do not leave, we could use Askew, Williams, Walls and McCoy all at LB.

Are there any potential coaches who would bring in a Defensive Coordinator that runs a 3-4? I would love to see this at UT. Does Ordgeron run a 3-4?

no chance McCoy will be drafted near as high as Mayo was. Big Dan is the only that should leave.

I don't think any of them leaves.

first of all, brandon warren and gerald williams are sophomores.....

second, everyone on that list is no good......the only one who's good is dan williams........but the nfl is a differnet level.......they all need to come back.......d. williams could improve his draft stock alot by coming back...

Warren's a 3rd year soph and Gerald is a jr I think. Either way he's been out of hs for 3 years which is all it takes to enter the draft. And I agree with everything else you said.

NFL eligibility is 3 years removed from your high school senior class, not your college stature.

Williams and Warren are both eligible.

Couple of them might test the water just to see if there is any NFL interest, but I highly doubt any of them declare this year. Although, next year we could send a pretty good number to the NFL

They all should be back next season. Our D might look scary good next year.

Well that depends on the new DC!

Chavis had them ranked 7th best before the Vandy game...my guess is higher now.

I see a BIG drop off on D next year...because we could get a DC much like our OC of this year

I could see G.Williams meeting with the new head coach and if not to enthused, begin getting prepared for the combine.

Only Williams and McCoy would be drafted and neither very high. I could see Morley coming out and not getting drafted.

He has zero chance of being drafted and almost zero chance of being invited to the combine.

My thinking is that if he is that good and that fed up with the collegiate side of football he may say "screw it" and try out for some people on the next level.

Any way you could msg me with some info on how ppl get invited to the combine??

If Orgeron or Steele steps in as DC next year it won't.

I'm not sure how they get invited, but I know some guys that achieve a pretty decent amount as starters never get the invite. Gerald has done nothing. If he wanted, he could still work out for the NFL scouts when they come to Knoxville. I still don't think anyone is going to draft a guy that's supposed to be an MLB, but hasn't shown the slightest bit of instinct for the position.
