What is Your Worst National Championship Nightmare?

This question, while not necessarily directly concerning UT football, is directed at UT football fans. There is already some buzz about USC and Alabama (or possibly LSU) meeting in the national championship this coming season. USC vs. Alabama presents some interesting moral dilemmas for us Vols fans. Assuming that UT doesn't end up in the title game this year, I have two questions for you all:

1. If the title game is USC vs. Alabama, who do you pull for? Kiffin vs. Saban? Kiffin vs. Bama? What the heck do you do?
2. What is your worst nightmare for a national championship matchup? Is it USC vs. Alabama? Or maybe another SEC matchup that pits Alabama vs. Florida? Maybe something else?

Vols throttle Gators & Tide during the season, Gators & Tide win out the rest of the way. Florida gets into the BCS title game without playing for the conference title, Bama wins a rematch in the SECCG and it sets up a UF vs Bama Nat'l title game

If TN throttle Gators and Tide, there would be NO WAY they could consider playing in the BCSCG.

Not trying to sound like a smart azz, but Tennessee playing in the NC and losing. That's enough of a nightmare for me.

I'd pull for USC. Kiffin is slime , but he'd still be here if Pete Carrol hadn't hightailed it out of USC and left the mess to Kiffy. I told my cousin when Kiffin was hired that he would leave as soon as a high profile job opened on the West coast. It happened to be his dream job. Just more of that black cloud that's been hanging around Knoxvegas for a while now.

How bout this... UT and Bama open up the season in the top 5.. UT barely losses to Bama on the 3rd Saturday of October. We both win out and play each other in the SEC Championship at 1 and 2... UT barely beats Bama in a game winning field goal.. Jumps to number 1, while Bama falls to number 2.. Setting up a rematch for the 3rd time in 1 year in the BCS championship game... Bama vs UT.. And we lose off a blocked field goal..

Would sucks absolute ass and the crazy thing is... It's not an impossible scenario

Boise State vs TCU yeah they should get a chance but not play each other for the title. Let one of them play BAMA against an SEC opponent and see how they do in title game.

nope just 2yrs. it has been over 2yrs because we have had dooley for 2 going on 3 now. A lot of analyst are picking USC Trojans to be in the title game because of qb Matt Barkley returning. I hope not because it would show what Lane Kiffin could have done here.

its all good. i think i might be. grooms cake is costing us$400 for smokey 3D sculpture. I found it where a ut player had it done. It looked amazing. I can't wait. I just tried the tasting of what the cake would taste like and it was really good. Orange velvet cake
