On Tennessee recruiting or Transfer portal of shooters? Dalton is the outlier. Chaz was ok. If we get better shooters then it takes the pressure off of one or two players and opens your key shooters more because you have to respect the other 3 or 4 players out there

Ok Chaz was a better than ok he was outstanding and the best clutch shooter in big games we ever had. The point is we have not had many players on the court that could consistently make a shot beyond a dunk. That is 10 footers up to 20 footers.

To defend the OP, Chaz in NO WAY had the ability to take over a game like Knecht could. And it's not even close! Chaz was a great spot up shooter. Thats it. AAMOF... Lanier tended to disappear in the bigger games late in the season.
We havent had a guy that could create his own shot like DK could since then. And it wont be this year either.

Completely disagree. It’s crazy how short people’s memories are these days. You can say he was inconsistent, which is true, but to say he couldn’t take over a game is just false.

Against Baylor in the Bahamas last year he was 7-10 from 3 point range and finished with 25 points. Is that not taking over a game? The game before that one against Virginia, he had 26 of our 64 points and was 50% from 3 at 6-12. He had 29 points against Arkansas to open conference play last year. I could go on and on.

Let’s not re-write history because of a bad stretch this team is on. Chaz Lanier was an elite player here. He had some bad games, but so did Knecht.

Ok. He could definitely score in bunches, that is true. But he did not have the ability to create his own shot. He was terrible around the rim and just didnt have that ability like DK. i guess it's what the defintion of "take over a game" means to you.
