What is your biggest concern about the Vols (besides losing ) this year?
I worry that Dobbs can't throw it accurately and consistently enough to keep the defense from loading the box making it tough on Hurd and Kamara all year long.
That could make for a long tough year for them.
I have to confess that I teared up last night when they ran through the T. Then I wanted to tear up again watching our performance. VFL.

O-Line. Hurd nor Dobbs can do what they're capable of doing without good blocking up front.

It is the oline. I will say this though, they are more than capable of playing better based on some of the performances from last year. I can only hope they do not play like that again moving forward.

Oline and it's not close. I think we will be fine on defense. App st ran a quirky scheme on O that we won't see again this yr.

If I was Butch I would really look at shaking the oline up. Maybe moving Robertson to center, and putting JJ in at guard. Thomas was awful. Feel bad writing him off. But, man he was really bad.

The thing that perplexes me about the OL is that in the bowl game last year we steamrolled a solid Northwestern defense (i.e. not a Sunbelt team) and had a lot of nice rushes up the middle. I know losing Kerbyson was a blow and we're missing Hall, but it just doesn't make sense that we could've regressed so significantly.. I guess at the end of the day I'm hoping that was just an anomaly and the OL shows up big-time against VA Tech.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

#12 Michigan State only leads Furman 14-3 in the 3rd. And Furman has the ball 1st and goal at the 5. Struggles happen

I fully expect an open competition in regards to the oline.

Debords ability to adjust his playcalling to defensive pressure. Plus, Dobbs ability to make good decisions with the football.

Team 120 "catching a case" after they take out their frustrations on Virginia Tech. The D played alright considering the scheme after adjusting in the 2nd half. Should be able to clean most of it up. The Oline needs some TLC and Dobbs being allowed to run will help to cure some of that and also help Hurd/Kamara to have some lanes open up.

Maybe im being too positive (if theres a such thing) but everything but the Oline could be cleaned up fairly quick IMO and even that can be masked enough to be serviceable.

I actually think the improvement is there in the passing game. Dobbs running should slow the D down and give him some time for WR's to get open and hopefully he can throw the ball well enough to stretch the field. WR were getting open more than last year. Getting Dobbs to not make the dumb decisions like the INT is another quick fix.

If they fix the easy things and clean up the mistakes i honestly believe this team will be blood thirsty come next Saturday after they hear how they stunk it up until then.

The coaching staff.

Dobbs.

The University being unwilling to do what it takes to get a real coach in town.

The biggest concern I would have is that they've waited for this opportunity their whole career. They've been through being too young. They've been through close, but unable to get over the hump.

This is their time. This is, for several, the last season they'll play college football. They've lifted weights and put in all kinds of work to get to this point.

And, IMO, the vast majority of the University of Tennessee football team looked disinterested. That's coaches and players.

Beyond all the X's and O's and personnel breakdown of strengths and weaknesses, that was the most shocking and concerning thing.

Thanks, Big O - exactly what I would have said had you not said it first and better.
