On volquest there is a thread that says "jimmy hyamms says Tennessee is in big trouble" I know hyamms is a moron but anyone have any insight on what this crap is?

Probably something about our abysmal run game, our freshman QB, our secondary against Arky, bad O-Line play (or scheme), Poole being overlooked for a walk on... etc

*edit: or he is just reporting Pearl, Kiffin, and Hamilton will appear before the NCAA today

When I said overlooked, I didn't mean unfairly discredited. I was trying to describe CDD (rightfully) literally looking over him on the sideline and giving the nod to Toney.

Ok, thought it sounded strange the way you put it.

I'm thinking he's looking ahead to the Vandy game and a losing record if we don't win, 5-7. Yeah that would be big trouble.

hyamms reports: "Tennessee in big trouble as forward pass will be incorporated into rules of football to begin the 1906 season."

You guys think that maybe dooley was playing the weak depth at running back card for the recruit that came with diggs? Idk but maybe that was a smart move.

U were playing a ****ty team. He could pull him for disciplinary/motivational reasons and still be able to play a player good enough to handle the opponent. Wouldn't have happened against an SEC team and I'd expect that by next week the situation will have remedied itself.

Was a win win for dooley. Got his point across, didn't catch any media/fan flack for it and was able to give the kid a lil experience

On 104.5 this morning, he was dogging Tennessee left & right ... Nashville guys were eating it up. Hyams sounded kinda bitter and out of touch with the condition of our program. He said he doesn't understand why the run game is so bad, and that's about all I agreed with him on.

Just to clear things up, it was a comment about Hyams saying that he sees no bright spots for Tennessee's future and that they are not getting any better. Said we will lose to Vandy, etc etc.

poor attendance, weak in-state opponent , Pender on campus, Brodus (local guy) kickin...was a good night to give Toney (local guy) a chance. he took the chance and ran with it, should get more carries

Much as I hate to say it, this year we may actually lose to Vanderbilt. They're playing unusually well. Our team is greatly weakened by key injuries. We can't run and with better play last year they gave us a heck of game. They have played some fairly good teams well enough to win even the games they lost. We're so darn snake bitten I see the possibility of KY finally sneaking one over on us. Go ahead and beat me up, things just look rather bleak right now. Were we where we were during the Montana and Cincinnati games, we would have beaten Georgia, South Carolina, and possibly, just possibly Florida but the first two, no doubt in my book.

Prediction: Next year if that defense stays mainly intact, it will be hard to score on them. IF, IF, IF the OL gets the coaching it deserves, we will have a balanced running and passing game that opponents will rightly consider us a dangerous team on any field of play.

Prediction: The Freshmen baptised in fire now are going to be ready and confident in 2012. They'll give the current SEC bullies a run for their money. And win or lose, they will be in every game right up to the end.

I'm just glad I live in Chattanooga. As bad as Sports Radio is here I don't have to listen to Hyamms.
