Maybe the movie was a bit, shall we say "cheesy", but it was one I could take my kids to and not have to tell them "ok, don't look" or have to explain some of the language, or tell my kids "not that's not the kind of language we use..." Guess that was why it was "G" rated. Had a good message too. I can tolerate it for that above and a whole lot of other reasons that have already been stated.
Now to the subject at hand: Difference between Kiffin and Richt:
Kiffin is nice looking and he has nice hair
Richt is nice looking also but had that stupid looking part down the middle - 80's throwback
Don't know enough about Kiffin's football coaching ability to make a determination one way or the other.
For me, I don't frame the issue as Richt worked out so people should be all for CLK.
Georgia had been through a few coaches in a short amount of time so Richt was worth a shot. It worked out pretty well for them. I thought MH went right to the desparation pick in CLK. It could very well work out and that would be awesome but I can't understand how some are happy with MH.
My view on CLK: Alright, he's the guy so give him a shot. A real shot! This is a huge hill to climb with the quality of coaching at the schools the Vols will face yearly. CLK will not have the luxury of having to face Chizik (spelling?) and the bafoon at LSU on a yearly basis... No, he will face Saban and Meyer with Spurrier and Richt sprinkled in for a respite.... Not pretty at all! So he should have at least five years to show what he can do or this will turn into a circus like Alabama went throught the last 12 years or so and LSU went through before Saban. But if it doesn't work out, MH should go with him (I'll help load the moving van).
Richt doesn't scare me. He was never able to get his team to an elite status and he never will be able to. UGA is done.
Gotta disagree, the media jumped the gun on Georgia this year, they just gave them that #1 preseason ranking to shut some of the Dawg fans up. Now next year will be the year of the dog. Moreno or no Moreno
Exactly. I wasn't going to go that far, but it's the truth. There was no transition in the movie whatsoever from being horrible to being great on the football field. I could get past the horrible acting if it made a lick of sense. Maybe it would've been a better idea to have God give him the strength to learn how to coach and inspire the kids instead of them all of a sudden changing their spots in 5 minutes during a practice. Simply praying can not achieve all that without hard work and dedication. That's why I thought the movie was a joke.
If by racket you mean, have Rod Wilks set up a personal visit with everyone that votes then yeah we got a shot.
Is Stafford leaving too, if he is all bets are off. I heard their backup was good though
lol.. Did he really think it was a football movie or were you just kidding??? I thought it was an awsome movie myself, but it wasn't anything to do with the football in the movie though....
