What is the "Biggest Name" School Without a Heisman Winner?

When a player wins the Heisman, they become overpaid non producing players in the NFL.

"Truhdishun" wise the Bammers will tell you it is them. They ahve never had a heisman winner either.

We have had 3 legit candidates to win it and two of them got screwed...I still can't figure out how you can give that trophy to Paul Horning on a 3-8 ND team over Majors...I will not comment on the Woodson case....Makes me ill to think about.

For me Woodson winning it made it a totally insignificant award in my eyes. I don’t pay attention to it at all anymore.

Peyton was the shoe in all year, even at the end of his junior year. I think the voters just got Manning fatigue. At least now many (outside of UT) believe he was cheated.

Hornung did literally everything.
And there's nothing to the Heisman that says it must go to the best player on the best team, only the best player. In their eyes, he was a true do-everything football player, and he was chosen for the award. It's no sweat off my back. He went on to a Hall of Fame career with the Packers, my NFL team. More power to a guy who was a RB, QB, punter, and DB. In that season, he led his team in passing, running, scoring, kick and punt returns, passes broken up, and was second in INTs and tackles.
To say that based on self credentials he didn't deserve it is rediculous.

Woodson deserved the award more than Manning. He did everything, offense, defense, and special teams. None of you ever saw Woodson play during his days at Michigan, he was hands down a better player than Manning. Take a look at the OSU-Michigan game from 97 if you get the chance.

It makes me sick to see all these people still bitter over the situation. Get over it.

Mike - You wasn't even AD yet when this happened.

He ONLY won it because he played a few snaps on offense and special teams and the media went nuts over him.

You are in the wrong place to discuss how much better Woodson was than Manning.

Or espn started blaring and praising Woodson b/c they didn't want a runaway heisman race, eventually it turned to voters seeing Woodson on TV for more highlights week in and out, and then his team at number 1 (more spotlight) led to some more votes...

Do you mean that we didn't see him play live? Like many other UT fans I own a TV and I saw the OSU-Michigan game. I'd comment on him being a 'hands down' better player than Manning but I think you're just trying to get people riled up : ).
