Some of you guys follow SEC schedules closely. If we beat UG and lose the following 2, does that put us on thin ice of making the SECCG? What if we lose to UG and win one of the following 2? Obviously, we would like to win them all but injuries might prevent that. Just wanted some thoughts on scenarios.

We keep winning and we go no matter what anyone else does. That's the easiest path.

A win over UGA and losses to A&M and Bama, we would need Florida to drop a game to Arkansas or UGA. If Florida wins out and we lose the two SEC West games, the Gators win the division.

We just need to beat Georgia and take care of buisness against the rest of the east. Then give all we got to A&M and Bama.

Florida has to play LSU and uga and they are a deflated football team right now. Uga has a loss to ole miss. Uga also looks a bit weaker. I'm not sure who else they play on their schedule.

If we beat Georgia, I think we are pretty much there. We will pummel Mizzou, SCAR, UK, Vandy. I think A&M beats us, but also think we beat Bama at Neyland.

Beat all the East teams and I think we're in. GA will have 2 SEC losses if we win next week and that would give us the tiebreaker over both FL and GA. Then FL and GA still have to play, but even if UF beats GA, they won't beat LSU and/or Arkansas.

It really all hinges on beating Georgia next week. If we beat Georgia, then we essentially have a two game lead on the other two major SEC East contenders as we would have the tie-breaker in our back pocket. With a win over Georgia, we go to Atlanta with 100% certainty if we win one of the next two (i.e. beat either A&M or Bama) and take care of business against the remainder of the schedule. Even if we lose to both A&M and Bama but take care of business with the remaining teams, we still have a really good shot at making it to Atlanta as all we would need to happen would be for Florida to lose one additional SEC game to tie us in the standings. Florida still has LSU, Georgia, and Arkansas on their schedule, and I think any of those three teams could potentially beat the Gators, and we would only need one of those teams to win. If we lose to Georgia, our prospects of making it to Atlanta diminish significantly. We would have to win at least one of the following two games, and take care of business, and have some significant help from other teams. I think we beat UGA, but we can't take anything for granted. Go Vols!

Just win baby....screw the polls, screw the hype...screw the negative fans...screw it just win baby. Rest will take care of the rest. Period. Believe. I think the players did more than the family....just win. Ugly vs pretty just win. Grind it out.

One step at a time. Most important game of the season is UGA. Win that one and it will be very hard to deny us the east.....assuming we don't lay an egg to a lesser opponent and with this team anything can happen. Take nothing or any opponent for granted.

Don't believe this is correct. If the Vols beat UGA and drop both A&M and Bumma I believe the go to ATL (if they beat all the other East teams).

Doesn't the team with the best record in their respective division represent their respect division? Despite what they do against the opposite division?

Nope, it's overall SEC record.
