What irritates you the most at restaurants?

Nope. Then it looks like we are just bs'ing instead of working. "Fish Bowl", eyes are always on you. Perception is everything. Whether the teammates are communicating about legit business or not, the guest only sees horseplay. There are correct ways for both situations to be done.

To each their own. Points can be made at a low volume in less than 3 sentences.

I wish the food was better at Twin Peaks. I don't mind bar food on occasion but if they could just step it up to the level of say Bricktops or J Alexanders, I would not need to go anywhere else.

Twin Peaks will never have or invest that level of food quality. Both Bricktops and Jays are in the polished casual segment. Twin peaks is casual dining.

I gained a little bit of hope tonight.
Our top 3 kitchen guys are on vacation, and we decided to give a rookie a chance to not only prove himself, but to step up & be a leader.

He turned 21 3 days ago. Easily the youngest on BoH staff. We have 25,30,40+ year old guys back there.
They wouldn't step up & lead, but the rook did. He crushed it tonight. He found his voice and was a General.

Mr. 28 years in the business and knows everything just got schooled by the kid that that took the step they didn't.

Ask him if he's a Gordon Ramsey fan.

I don't understand the fascination with breastaurants. Either go to a strip club or, God forbid, have sex with a woman the old fashioned way.

You are literally asking a bar known solely for its titties to ascend the quality of their food to J Alexander's so you don't have to go anywhere else.

Can't believe I almost missed this post. Jesus H. Christ. Lol.

I totally agree. I went into Hooters a few times with friends a few decades ago and it was more sad and depressing than a casino.

There is a Hooters casino in Vegas. Plus Gruden shills for them. The two times I've been to Twin Peaks, my better half was with me. I think she has more fun with the servers there than I do.

Only time I ever would set foot in Hooters was years ago when my then girlfriend tended the bar.

I have pretty terrible taste. What can I say?

EDIT: but not as bad as HillBilly's.

Hooters and Tilted Kilt near me-- both went out of business a couple years ago

That's it, Tilted Kilt is what I was trying to think of. That's what opened in the Dwyer's building Hillbilly was talking about. Thats the one Belushi owned/backed. Thanks Mikey.

Yea, they closed too.

If someone wants to eat at hooters I don’t care, doesn’t mean they have an invalid opinion on food. Maybe they like the wing sauces, maybe they like oysters, or watching baseball games there and having a beer. Some real food snobs up in here.
