the same as it is now. winning or losing the remainder of the games, in any quantity really doesn't change much as to what we've seen this staff is capable, both good and bad.

and we're going to continue to get both going forward. that's what this staff is...some good, some bad....i don't see that changing, no matter what happens going forward.

Depends on who we lose against. If Tennessee Tech beats us Butch should be fired after the game. But I think we will win out. It will be ugly, but I think we will end the regular season at 9-3, with a chance to go to Atlanta if the cards fall our way.

Would these type of threads be stupid, if no one posted they were stupid?

Kinda like if a tree falls.......

Would you not argue Nebraska and TN are at least comparable programs, so knowing that doesn't Butch deserve the same chance Nebraska gave Bo Pelini, 7 years of 9-3, 8-4? One conf championship appearance in which you give up 70 points.

All 102,455 ticket holders could sign a petition saying they wouldn't attend another game with CBJ on the sideline, and it wouldn't make any difference at all. UT isn't going to make any head coaching changes until a new Chancellor and AD are hired and have a chance to evaluate the state of the program. DeBord's contract is up, so he might want to move on or play a lesser role. There's no assurance that CBJ won't promote from within, though, as alarming as that might sound.

Our problem was 1a. Bad running back in Jalen Hurd.

1b. Bad Qb play Dobbs.

One is gone the other is still starting.

Once another Qb. Is to pair with JK our offense will be fine. Debord is not the problem. The players chosen to run the system are.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how much Butch realizes that he's also the one holding this offense back. At the very least, DeBord needs to go as a sort of "peace offering" to the fan base so that it at least APPEARS that he's trying to make changes and improves. Who he hires from that point on will say a LOT about how far he's willing to turn the reigns over to a new OC, IMO. We need some new and imaginative ideas on offense, badly. The predictability is astoundingly nauseating.

Yay, shifting chairs on the Titanic.

IF we somehow end up in ATL I think Butch will be forgiven. But since Debords contract runs out I think we need a OC for next year. I'm not a fan of firing mid season.

Since you asked this question of VolNation and not just me, I'm gonna answer as if I were all of VolNation. Just for fun. :)

First thing I would do is vomit a lot of mean, hateful and painfully funny emotions all over myself. Say, 50 to 75 threads' worth. I'll make sure very few of them have a subject line that makes any sense, and some of them will consist entirely of the quasi-word 'aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh'.

After that, I think I'll slowly make my way through all the stages of grief: you know, denial, then anger, then more anger and a lot more anger, some anger, and eventually bargaining, depression and acceptance. Throughout those latter stages, I'll sprinkle some real deep-seated anger.

I'll threaten to fire everyone, or wish someone else would. I'll call out any player who wasn't exemplary on every single down. I'll cast shade upon all those in VolNation who don't agree entirely with me.

Simultaneously, I will deny that anything is wrong. I will grasp the straws of injuries ... off-weeks ... lack of off-weeks ... heat or cold ... lighting conditions .... and bad officiating. Oh, especially bad officiating. Everything is actually fine, I'll say. Things could be worse. We can still win the national championship / SEC / East.

After about 72 to 96 hours, I'll settle down so that I can engage in something approaching normal conversation again. Of course, at that point the next game will only be a few days away. So time to start winding myself up again....

That's me. VolNation. That's what I expect to feel if we lose any more games. Or even if we don't. That's cool too. Let's get it on!

I chose fire the OC. i am not certain the DC should stay either though. If you cant stop offenses like vandy and Missouri. Something is definitely wrong
