What I see is at least four years.

The first UT football game I saw was 59' so I have been around for a while. I thought JP was a stretch hire but I'm not going to throw him under the bus (yet). I think most of us expected to see, at least, some improvement vs last year but it looks like the SOS to me. The odds on recovering an onside kick are not very good (someone know the percentage)? Gutsy call? That was a 9 point turn around in UF's favor and our D was not playing that bad. This team looks like they are just going through the motions to me. I agree with a lot of posters that we need to play players that want UT to be great again ( where is Al Wilson when we need someone like him). If JP is the man, I think we are looking at 4 long year before we start seeing improvements.
Fulmer recruited Georgia, South Carolina and Florida a lot and won recruiting battles. Kirby Smart is hauling in monster recruiting classes for GA. Muschamp is doing better. UF is going to get better with Mullen. Alabama is going to get whoever Saban wants. Right now, about the only thing JP can offer is a promise (maybe) to start playing as a freshman and finds players who want to make UT great again. These next 3 games are going to be worse than the UF game. I'm sure most of you are aware of that. It is going to be real ugly. Maybe JP can call SEC HQ, tell them that the team has the flu or something, forfeit the next 3 games, save a ton of travel money, practice hard for 3 weeks, not get what few good players we have hurt and prepare for the remaining schedule. I will continue to wear my orange & white every Saturday down here is the heart of Dawg country. I will not give up my GA/UT alumni licenses plate or take off my UT stickers off my SUV but I will probably not watch these next 3 massacres on the telly. GBO.

Great call, and UT players should've recovered it. We stopped them then their punter and special teams downs the ball at the 1, our luck!

What I see are a bunch of Sunday morning QB's that have no idea what they are talking about!

That was a legit onside kick. Numbers were right, players failed.

I’m ok with the call, it was right there for the taking. But it’s not all on the players 3-4 of our guys all went for the ball. As coaches you have to assign someone to clear pearine out on that play.

This one really hurts because it’s the reality check none of us wanted.

I didn’t watch live, but watching high lights shows that we flat out didn’t take care of the ball and it absolutely put us out of the game.

Onside kick was a fantastic call and it was lack of execution. If they execute... everyone here says Pruitt is a genius. Love the call.

After seeing the score I thought it was going to be a pure quit fest but these players are giving effort. Offensive line is trash, we have to recruit fast because there is no coaching fix for complete pansies. Defense looks like they are improving, just having some expected breakdown issues with young guys in a new scheme.

JG has permanently earned my respect back. No QB with that arm talent deserves to be constantly showing the SEC how darn tough he is. Great kid, tough as nails. If he has a chance to run the offense instead of being decleated every series look out. I hope he can keep these boys fighting through the year.

Pruiit said " we had a guy that was supposed to hit the floroda player but instead he stood there watching him catch it"

Let me respond...
The on side kick...
Just watched first part of Pruitt Show. He explained the OSK and what he explained was very factual. All was executed well until, as he said, the 2 guys that were to block the one man the ball was kicked at didn't do a very good job and the man who was to recover just stood there watching.
Making Tennessee great again...
Most of these guys could give a dam- less about making Tennessee great again. (the whats in it for me generation)
Recruiting....
If a young man looking for a college program watches these guys play and the general attitude they show, would you expect him to want to play with a bunch like we have. (notice the lack of the word team) Recruiting is going to get really tough. We may lose some guys already saying the are coming.

Go look at the Pruitt Show.... He explains this play really well and as you watch it.

Yep. We were down 14-3, they had practiced the ok all week, CJP said 'do we save it or use it now'. gutsy call but good call. busted assignment or it would have worked and looked like a GREAT call.

Respectfully disagree with the onside kick call. If it works great. Odds of pulling it off are not very good. 20% to 26% at the NFL level! As stated, JP busted assignment. All of us pretty much agree that we do not have the level of talent that is needed so we are to expect that these guys (practiced the play all week) can pull it off? 14 -3. Kick deep. Stop the run back and hopefully the D stops UF and we get the ball back with decent field position. The bad out weighs the good by far. WV game. Great call. 4th and goal. We need to score. If we fail. We lose a touch or 3 pts. WV gets the ball on their 2 yard line.
