What I hope doesnt happen

I think Auburn is vulnerable enough on offense for UT to have a shot at a win or close loss IF they play like they did last week. However, what Im concerned about is... we saw a fight, improved play that gives a little hope yet if they lose to Auburn and get a likely big loss to Alabama, will this team hang on for that back half schedule, or get so discouraged and beaten up they pack it in?

A: CJP won't let these boys quit
B: These boys won't quit on CJP. It's a pleasant change from "Ghosts of Tennessee Coaches past" but they actually love their coaches now.

Pretty sure fulmer clapped after every mistake.
Never saw bill synder yell at a player.

Ah yes. The “happy clappy licking chapped lips I’m just pleased I won a MNC a few years ago” era. 3rd and 8 and we run a 5 yard out pattern after a 2yard bubble screen on 1st and getting stuffed on 2nd down happy clappy Fulmer grimace time period.

Man that was frustrating. Fulmer could have been a legend had he kept the drive.

For starters grabbing guys when they come off the field after poor play. As opposed to the infamous pat on the butt “let’s try better next time” from previous regime.
Both approaches can work and both can fail. The key is whether players notice they are successful when they execute the way the coaches have taught them. That's how you get buy-in, it doesn't matter if you yell or encourage, if players do everything you ask and still get boatraced, that's when they quit.
