In a true ”meteor” game, our two biggest rivals play each other this Saturday afternoon in Gainesville.
Bama is a 15 point favorite.
With the Vols up next for Florida, what helps us more.
Do we want Bama to rout them and demoralize them or for UF to pull the upset and then have trouble coming down off of that big high against us?

I think in a perfect world Florida beats Bama and is predicted to go to the playoffs and shoots up to the top 5 in rankings just to loose to the Vols the next week. I don’t for one second think either will happen but you can hope lol

Always want Bama to lose - good for the VOLS, good for college football.

Neither. Nothing will help the Vols.

Florida is Thanos.

Florida has a 1 in 7 chance of beating Alabama (play the game seven times, Florida finds a way to fall backasswards into winning one of them).

Assuming no significant change in rosters, Tennessee then has a 1 in 5 chance of beating Florida.

This alabama team may be better than last year's team. They should win another title easily.

In no way imaginable could Florida beat Bama... if they played 10 times, maybe 1 out of 20. Florida thinks they are due and almost always gets way more credit that they deserve. Even though they have owned us for good while. They should be more than 15 point dogs. Alabama complacency is the ONLY chance the gators have.

Its important to note that preparation at the college level is more about who gets injured and can't play the next week. Sure, there is an emotional component to football at any level but these coaches are professionals at the highest level of CFB. They will have their players ready. UF will want to curb stomp us just as badly win or lose to Bama. If they get the crap beat out of them is what would most effect our chances in the game.

Maybe they can have a targeting call every five minutes on Florida. They don’t have to be warranted just with ejection for the following game.

Want Bama to annihilate Florida by 21 plus. Get Mullen all worked up and acting stupid at press conferences. They ain’t that good this year and he will feel some heat and his idiocy and arrogance will wear thin. Spiraling Florida into turmoil.

You want Florida to win if you're a UT fan. Look at uga vs UT 2004, georgie had just walloped saban-coached LSU and was riding high when UT beat them the next week 19-14. I can't think of any examples where UT beat a more talented team who was coming off a loss. Losing tends to get you focused.

...that Bama doesn't expose any Florida weakness that our coaches were already planning to exploit.

Main thing we need is for the gators to spend the week afterwards sore and hanging out in the whirlpool tubs and on the training tables. They already have much more depth than us. Some sore ankles and shoulders in gator land would help even that score a little

Unless QB gets injured, there is no way Fla. will beat Bama, but it would help us tremendously if they did.

Either a UF victory that makes them overconfident or an absolute beat down both on the scoreboard and physically.

A close loss... just leaves them hacked off looking for an outlet.

A qb. Nothing will help us more than a qb

Punish Florida, beat them up for 4qtrs. Make Florida run the full playbook as usually Florida doesn’t play much competition before us.

So you're saying we have a better chance of beating UF than UF has of beating Bama?
