STFU! If you think UT has half the talent of VT, then you are a complete fool to football.

I'm all for UT juicing up all winter and summer. I'm sick and tired of being the smallest team in football

So it can't be the turn around of Crompton because you say so.....Fantastic

hmm. sounds like you're coming into this argument with the rules bent in your favor at the get go so you could win.

so crompton just "came out of his shell?" if it was that easy, why didn't he do this under fulmer/clawson/cutcliffe? if fulmer was coaching tennessee this season, there would have been a QB carousel after the florida game that probably would have resulted in another 5 win season.

the guy was 2nd in the SEC in TD passes. that doesn't "just happen."

kiffin stuck with crompton and his play improved as the season went on. to state flat out that "you can't count that as a reason" is just childish and stupid.

from a basic fundamental standpoint, the team had a better record this year than they did last year with largely the same team as last season. that's an accomplishment. they made it to a bowl game, which didn't happen last year.

generally speaking, the team appeared to play more fundamentally sound than last year. fewer fumbles, things like that.

there's the recruiting aspect and the comments that ruffled people's feathers. that i think kiffin was successful in.

tennessee routed georgia, hung with florida in a game where everybody expected them to be massacred, and almost beat one of the teams in the national title game.

it's the guy's first season. there is plenty here to build on.

he has proven he can pull back in bandwagon fans, that will turn on him after every loss...
When Lane wins us a SECC this cat will hop back on the bandwagon...You're either a big orange fan or your not.....I bleed Orange win or lose, not happy when we lose but UT is still my team

I'm sure Florida could use some more dumb, obnoxious fans. You would fit right in.

He proved that more than 5 wins and a bowl appearance is attainable at the University of Tennessee.

That's a start.

he beat all but ONE Sec East team..Florida-the one loss was a 10 pt. defeat unlike last years 24 point defeat..It only goes up from here.

Who would you rather have? I hear Mike Leach is out there, come on man, Rome was not built in a day, this is a process. Phil Fulmer left the cupboard pretty bare.

Crompton just "Comes out of his shell" after last year and the first few games this year? That is devoid of any logic whatsoever. Lane played to Crompton's strengths and it showed with JC's productivity. He also helped us drop 31 on SC(who beat us last year under Phil, Vicki) and 45 on UGA(who also beat us last year, Vicki). He and this staff are responsible for this year's turnaround. We had the exact same players on the team(basically) minus 2 starting linebackers(who we had to replace with walk-ons) and with the same talent we had last year he took a 5 win team and took us to a bowl. Suck on that while you pleasure yourself to pictures of Phil eating Krispy Kremes

I know you're not saying that Kiffin needs to be fired so please don't take what I'm about to say that way.....

Mike Leach being in Lubbick, TX is too close to Knoxville for any of our liking....IF we would have hired that fool we would be worse off than we were if Phil was still here....Maybe not that bad, but we wouldn't have been any better....JMO

Rock, dude, you're not getting much support in this. Get some sleep, think on it, there may be a brilliant post at your finger tips in the morning. I mean maybe.
