What if Pruitt decides to leave? Remember those post when he was first hired, some people were flipping out that everyone would be hiring him away, bla, bla, bla.
Harrison Bailey has been a solid Vol for since his commitment and he has seen what was happening at Tennessee, long before he signed. He wanted the challenge of restoring Tennessee football to a major force in the SEC, the easy path was just take the Alabama offer, or the Georgia offer, or the LSU offer or the Auburn offer, or one of the many, many others.
Pruitt's apparent plan to play JG this year, assuming he was going to be improved in his 5th year, and bring Harrison along for next year made sense, but the fact that JG has completely imploded and is now actually worse than he was in the past 4 years has put Pruitts plan in the dumpster. Pruitt doesn't seem to be able to make the adjustment to get off the JG bandwagon and just move on to Harrison earlier than he wanted to. He may be willing to start Harrison Bailey after this latest schedule change giving 2 weeks to get Bailey ready, or he may continue with the JG show and just write off the year.
