What happened to the Coker rumor?

I haven't heard anything about Coker in a while. Ive heard rumors of Coker not liking the coaches and that his grades are bad. I heard he is in the doghouse, also that Coker is about to get booted from the team. I havent heard any serius news about him, was all this just BS rumors? any info? I hope we don't lose him, this kid is amazing, i have not seen many guys on the field that just have that "Next Gear",when it comes to speed. I really hope we use Coker as a kick off return man, because Coker is a Home-Run hitter and can take it the distance. This small help on special teams can mean the game. Coker really does remind me of Reggie Bush, they both have that speed and moves to go all the way. If anyone here goes to UT and tell Coker to go to class, cuz we need a JaW DrOpPiN RB next year.

Also ive heard that until Oneal and Brent Vinson get here, the VOLS have no other WR that is really that good at YARDS AFTER CARRY. Meachem going hurt our yards after carry alot. Meachem could have been a STAR at UT IMO, if he would have stayed, i believe he would have had a even better SR yr with Ainge at QB. Ainge is gonna be a good one nxt season BANK ON IT.

Also on the WRs, whoever told you that must be forgetting Hancock. I think that kid will be a star.

I thought Hancock was a good WR but, like i said i think these might be roomers. I think its in the Scout.com message board that i might have heard these rumors. I believe Hancock will step up and i believe it will be like this WR1- Kenny Oneal, WR2- Hancock, WR3- Vinson, WR4- Briscoe/Rodgers/ L. Taylor. Yeah i said it, Oneal and Vinson will start at UTk. They are that good, and i don't believe our other WRs have come close to proving themselves. If we have to use freshmen cuz our older players won't step up, then we will use a freshmen.
Something tells me though that Trooper Will bring the talent out, in our WRs. I have trust in Trooper, look what Meachem did under a year of Trooper being the WR coach.

Well it looked like Coker was in the practice highlights from 3/1. Thought these had been put to rest

Ive seen on utsports.com, that Coker was in practice and i hope these are rumors that i heard. I just wanted to know if anyone had any info on this, because that would really hurt our offense without Coker. I hope these rumors can be put to rest. GO VOLS

Lets hope coker sticks around, but lets wait untill next year untill we start comparing him to reggie, and lets hope he doesnt take any suits from boosters!

ROFL. Many many many people, including myself, have said O'Neal and Vinson will start at UTK.

You guys also forgot about Gerald Jones...

Anyway, the Coker rumors were proved false long ago.

Coker's grandfather died after Christmas break, and he left school for a week or two to cope with the events surrounding his lost relative.

Of course many took this and ran with it saying that he was going to transfer for a multitude of reasons. All of which were false.

Im just glad to know they are not true, Coker is one of my favorite VOLS. He just sticks out to me through his potential and athleticism. Coker has the chance to really step it up and take it to the next level next season. He could really put his name out, if he keeps his act together and works hard to be the best.

It's nothing. One of his family members died and he took a few days off to go home and people started running their mouths..:shakehead:
