That would be a hell of a coaching staff! What about Fulmer as OL coach?

One thing you guys need to remember. Being a great player doesn't translate into being a great coach. In fact, it is difficult to name many great coaches who have ever been great players.

I see where one of you said "that would be a heck of a coaching staff". Only if our coaches were playing the other coaches.

I don't know if Peyton would even be a great coach. He might, just might, be a little too demanding. Expecting every player to study and review film as he does.

When you think of all the great coaches, name one who was a great player.

I am waiting

It is unfair to force me to write this name. Steve Spurrier.

He never did anything to speak of AFTER his college playing days. Houston Nutt was a good college player. Sly Croom was a great college player.

OK, you got me on Spurrier, but as I said there are very few

My friends son went to the Peyton Manning QB Camp this past year in Louisiana they said he was outstanding with the kids.

The things Peyton would bring to the table obviously would be QB Coaching and the Recruitment would be off the CHAIN!

I can't think of any who have shown they can be a successful head coach at Tennessee or anywhere else. Not sure we entrust the head coaching position in Knoxville to someone that hasn't clearly shown they can be successful.

As far as former players, can't name any who appear to be that person... lot of great guys who love Tennessee are former players, but none have that coaching resume..

I see where you are coming from, but I think Peyton would be successful on recruiting alone. Who wouldn't want to go play for Peyton Manning?

Def Coord/LB - Dale Jones
ST/RB - Charlie Garner
OL - Michael Munoz
WR - Mark Jones
TE - David Martin
DL - Shaun Ellis
DB - Terry Fair

Naturally, it's hard making a list using only former players. What would be your dream team coaching staff if you had to assemble one next season?
