I'd like to hear Butch grab the reins and say it's time.

I'd also like to see Dobbs, Reeves-Maybin and Sutton act mature and be professional - don't talk **** like the UF players.

Basically, I want them to set the tone for the season and show how serious they are about getting it done now.

Thoughts?

I want to see Butch own the expectations. When people ask him about it he better not even slightly skirt around the question or try to temper expectations in the slightest.

I don't want to hear "Oh but we have a new DC and it's going to take some time to get used to his scheme" or anything else. Own it. And embrace it. That is what a winner does.

More importantly though, I want to see our players act like leaders and professionals. No trash talking and if they are asked about other programs be respectful. The JRM, Sutton, and Dobbs have great chances at playing on Sunday's next year. Time to embrace that and carry yourself like a professional. Don't stoop to UF's level and acknowledge their talk.

Just be professional. Coach speak and players be leaders and speak respectfully.

In reality it doesn't matter what he says. Some on here will be mad no matter what he says. So might as well just use coach speak.

We're just gonna play our game and hopefully it pays off for us. We've been working hard and the goal at UT is always a championship. I'm not worried about streaks, throw those out the window. It's a new year with a clean slate and we're gonna do everything we can to make the most of it.

Something along those lines.

I want Butch to not talk in superlatives/hyperbole. Have you noticed everything he says (pun intended) is a superlative? "Each and every..." for example?

Gonna be hard to pick just one. The Clemson 3 are working at least half a dozen.

Funny that in the end it wasn't Bama or UF that brought us down, but Clemson. Not sure if this is revenge for Malone but Dabo has targeted us and we're losing, badly

I'm going to go with: "It's a process," "Brick by Brick," "Football family" and "Winning is fragile."

That way, I know I won't be disappointed.

A "work in progress" would be gravy.

Also, "we look forward to playing that red team down there."

Good Afternoon Members of the Press:

I have high expectations of my staff and the players. We will do our best and our first goal is to get to Atlanta.

See you there.
