Well it is refreshing to see someone around here has the courage to be honest. I am sorry if you face ridicule and scorn from your fellow Volunteers, but your being honest shows character and valor not often seen in internet message boards. You did a good thing.

Unless Cal somehow defends the run, this one will be up to the Tennessee secondary to win or lose.

My heart says 17-14 Vols. My head says 24-14 Cal. I just dont think we're going to score all that much on our first game with all those new receivers and breaking in a new left side of the line.

Longshore gets sacked 5 times and picked off twice. Gerald Jones runs a KO for a TD, and the receivers work out fine with Ainge having 250 yds. Also the run game will be greatly improved and all of our questions are answered by halftime.

No way we score less than 30. I don't care how new the recievers are, we'll run it down their throats. Besides, don't you think Cut will be able to make a good gameplan in the 9 months he has to prepare?

Thats what we thought after we played Cal last year.

I think Cal and Tennessee will be a close game, but I wouldn't think that we will have many questions answered during the Cal game.

I thought we ran the ball pretty well against Cal. And that was before Foster improved and Coker became recognized as our most electric player.

We did, UT ran for 216 yards against Cal but went on to have an awful season in the running game. So that was my point, if we break out and have a great day on the ground it may not mean anything for the upcoming season.
