What do y'all think will happen when the Supreme Court rules against Obamacare

Democrats want to control the population. Healthcare is the best way for them to control you! If you think a Liberal cares about your well being, you are an IDIOT!!
It's truly mind-boggling to me that people think more government involvement in healthcare will improve it. How in the world do these people have so much faith in our government? They’re the same ones who think we're being led by a dictator. It defies all reasoning.

I don't need to help sell anything, you're all cherry picking. There are arguments to be made for both sides.
There are, the only problem is who should pay for it all. I have very little confidence that any of those jokers in Washington have answers.

The market exists no matter how much the govt is involved. The market existed in the USSR and it cost the average Soviet about 3 months of pay to buy a pair of jeans. Govt involvement in US healthcare has distorted the costs and the market, not eliminated it. The market works around whatever obstacles the govt puts in it's way.

True, but private insurance distorts prices as well. If people paid cash for services as in other sectors, healthcare pricing would be a lot different.

That is true. Ever wondered how private insurance came to be in it's current manifestation and became tied to employment?

What impact do you think free universal health care would have on our southern border ? Once it’s up and running ( considering that immigration impact) how long before we are in worse shape than we are now after cutting all the other government spending on programs to pay for UHC ? Once we start down this road it going to take a miracle to pull us back out of it if ( when ) it goes sideways .
We’ve already seen ACA go sideways.
Real life... 20 something year old non compliant pt is brain dead on a ventilator. Her brain stems is allowing her to breathe on her own 6 times a minute. Not enough to sustain life but enough to not declare her brain dead. Her mother is mad at the world and decides to keep her support going even though her eeg shows no functioning waves.
Ethics committee gets involved. Here we go... 4 weeks later no decision yet then she codes 8 times. We coded her until we couldn’t get her back.
I tell you this because everyone should know, we the tax payers just paid her 1m plus bill for a pt who was non compliant her entire life. Minus what Medicare decides is payable her mother will get grant money for charity to cover the rest or the hospital will write it off.
We already shoulder the motherload of ridiculous debt under Medicaid, putting in uhc will not solve this problem. Look at every program the gov runs....fraught with waste.

The other conundrum is what do we do with the untold millions of pts who end up in the hospital for damaging themselves? It is an
Ethical dilemma that uhc won’t fix. We will be forced to treat heroine od #5 for pt x under uhc continually. I see this everyday I go to work in a major metropolitan hospital.

Not every feature of the ACA is unpopular with voters... To repeal it, without any protection for those with pre-existing conditions wouldn't be smart politically. It's the issue which cost McSalley her Senate bid in Arizona.
That's the whole problem. Somewhere people got duped into believing there could be any risk based solution that could ignore underwriting pre-existing conditions. It's a utopian ideal that doesn't make any logical economic sense.

What do you mean by non compliant?

In relation to that pt, she had heart failure from abusing coke. She was told last admission next time could kill her. It did.
Thanks. Meaning she completely ignored her doctor's advice. Sometimes I wonder if Narcam (spelling?) shouldn't be limited to 2 or 3 uses.

What they don’t tell you about narcan is more than 2 doses can be dangerous. But they went and made it available on the streets. I lost my mind over that. So anyone can dispense that med now. 😳

Okay you bunch of F tards, let me give you a real life scenario of our health care system.

I retired at 60 from my megacorp that had always provided healthcare insurance to their retirees. A few months later they say F you, you don't work for us anymore buy your own damn insurance.

What would you do?

I would tell you this is 'merica. No one--especially your fellow citizens--owes you anything. Quit whining. You want it, you pay for it, fair and square. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Go back to school. Grow a new heart/lung/kidney or whatever it is that ails you. Don't take my hard-earned money. I got a yacht I'm saving towards.

Am I doing this right?

Yep! Welcome to enlightenment!

No. Aren't you trying to get at least 50 illegal Mexicans and Guatemalans onto your family plan like the other loyal dems? Surely, you have room for one more in good ole ND40.

Buy my own insurance or unretire until I was 65.

Figured you’d come around one day.

Dems want to F up healthcare so that ****** single payer appears to be a viable alternative by comparison. It's what they want with all public institutions. To create disarray so that they can propose socialism as a viable alternative. More government is not the answer.
It's been their goal all along

Because they've brainwashed for 40+ years of gov schools.
