What do we pay the new coach?

Depends on experience. They want to go as cheap as possible. They wanted to float the big names to get some attention and then see who is the best coach they could get for the least amount of money. The big names showed interest until they got low balled then suddenly no one was interested. You knew that we would be in trouble when you started hearing the term "market value".

This spring when the season ticket holders get there statements for football tickets, they should write Hamilton a check for "market value."

Mediocrity did not end with Fulmer. He was just a part of it.
Wow! I'm thinking you're not a "cup-half-full" kinda guy, true?!

If Kiffn is hired there is no way his dad comes with him. Monte Kiffin makes $2 million a year as the Bucs DC so why on earth would he take job paying $250,000 or so?

Nah. Not my wife. Just some hot chick I found on the net. However, I did find her in less than a week. The picture, not my wife.

Who thinks Hamilton will pay big bucks to get the right guy?I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere but I don't read everything that gets posted.Didn't at the time we were looking for a OC,Fulmer wanted to get Kippy Brown back but the budget wasn't there so Fulmer chose Clawson

Well we paid Fulmer in the end what 3 mil and this has been special for the big bucks. We might consider paying whatever if he can coach, motivate, help players improve, and of course win ball games and wouldn't mind some fun back on the sidelines

3.5 million is way to much...imo.

With Saban pulling down 4 mill a year you think 3.5 is way too much to retain a big name proven winner that can go face up to Saban and Meyer? Thank goodness you aren't the AD...and I'm hoping he doesn't share your view. Your looking for the next face of the football program at Rocky Top, not negotiating for a used car...:shakehead:. If this is the view of AD Hamilton and the route he takes we'll be coach searching again in 4 seasons. I say back load a contract to the hilt...pay them a reasonable front end....and for every win add a chunk. For every bowl bid add a chunk, for every BCS bowl spot add a chunk...make it so as success rises so goes the salary to a possible ceiling of 5 million...make it possibly the most lucrative contract in the NCAA. You get the intrest of the big boys yet assume little risk unless the worst happens and you win huge.
