Decent chance Im completely wrong here. Random guess by me:

C - Taylor (he does the off-season work to get there)
1b - Burke
2b - Ortega/Lawson
SS - Ahuna
3B - Lawson/Ortega
LF - Moore/Dickey
CF - Stephenson
RF - Dickey/Moore
DH - Steenstra

Obviously, there could be transfers we don’t know about yet or a freshman that comes in and lights it up.

I think it’s safe to say that Ortega and Stephenson are gone man. Lawson is 50/50 at this point on being back or not.

If Chuck Taylor is the hard worker that Tony says he is I could see him being a nice contributor for us next year. Really excited for that Ahuna kid too. Moore is going to be a stud. I don’t think we hit 150 dongs but we should still have an explosive offense.

I actually think there’s a much better chance that Stevenson is back than Lawson. The draft is only 20 rounds. I don’t see Stevenson getting selected.

Hitting might not be as good, but I think the pitching will be better.

With Dickey being listed as a backup catcher, I've kind of wondered if there's any chance we see him take the Russell route and work behind the plate next season?
If Tennessee whiffs on transfers and Taylor doesn’t develop, Dickey probably is the Catcher. But I think they’ll get Skenes and Dickey starts in Left.

Don’t count out the 4 JUCO arms coming in. I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least one of them get meaningful innings.

I wouldn’t either. The fact we saw Evans pitch in the Super tells me he’s developing and the coaches expect a lot of him. I think he’ll be a bullpen force next year. Mabrey, McLaughlin, Kirby, and Halvorsen are also virtually guaranteed to be major contributors out of the bullpen. After that, it’s a matter of who develops and which newcomers are ready to be a factor.

Covid year left. I’m told he’ll likely use it.
Question on Steenstra: nothing to be worried about there (that you know of), right? I think he is soooo good, especially defensively. Smoothest defensive player we have, IMO. I just really don’t want him to get frustrated and transfer out.

Hope I’m worrying about nothing.

That’s fair, I think scouts see a .339 BA with 25 bags (6.2 60) and someone will bite. Selfishly, I hope not though, I think he’s the outfield leader we’ll need.
