It seems like Charlie Weiss thinks very highly of our coaches and our players. I guess he doesn't know much about football either. hmmmmmm..........

This is what coaches do. Lou Holtz used to make UK sound like Alabama or UT when the Cats played SC.

Too many ifs ands and buts in his press release. If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

He put stats in his statements. He went over the games. Where were the if, ands and butts that you speak of? I read every oposing coaches press conf and I can see through the BS. This coach is worried about UT. And he should be.

He said that the Vols could easily be 6-1 or 7-0 if it weren't for fumbles inside the 10.

Blah blah blah its all the players fault.

Blah blah blah Charlie Wiess says the Vols are great.

Blah blah blah 3-4 is just not that bad of a season.

Blah blah blah if we hadn't fumbled the ball.....

Lex that was a quote and statement to bleedingorange not you. But yeah, he used stats in his statement. Question for you. Do you think he is worried about playing UT?

Anyone with TN talent is dangerous. I'm sure he is worried that TN will find something.

However, I'll bet ND beats TN by at least 2 TD's.

Being worried about playing UT and qualifying him as a personnel specialist for UT are two different things.

I thought your original post implied: See I told you we had a good staff and shouldn't have fired anyone. That is what that sounded like to me. I could be wrong.

If I were a gambler I would take your money. UT wins by 10 or more.

What I guess I meant was that the sky is not falling as some seem to think. I think you can see by what CW said that he does have a healthy respect for UT players and coaches and that he is more than a little worried about this game.

about notre dame, we either get smoked or eaily beat them out. i dobut this is close. if we show up, we beat them by at least 10-14 pts. if we dont show up we lose by 14-21 points. at ut there isnt an inbetween.

I would have to say I am impressed with what he said. But I wonder if he was only boasting us because he thinks we may win, and if we do, he's got it covered from his press conference that he knew we were good. HHMmm, makes you wonder.

Having watched the Vols play football for about 50 years I will tell you that the history of this team is, after being written off by the fans, the press, and the other teams, they typically come out and slap the crap out of all opponents.

I hope you're right. It doesn't seem like this team understands how to play football. They haven't for several years now from a consistency standpoint. I don't think, as Fulmer often says, that there is any magic dust out there to change.

Sometimes, when it looks like a duck...

...ND wins by a couple of TDs.

i really believe weiss is talking us up like that because he wants to make sure his players dont take us too lightly. its not that hard for a bunch of kids to take a 3-4 team lightly that just had a coaching change take place the week they are supposed to play and weiss just wants to make sure he has his kids' attention so they dont get upset by us. with that said, the offense obviously wont be that different with fulmer calling the plays and so having a coaching change like this early in the week really shouldnt be an excuse if we happen to come up short against the irish and with their defense being as bad as they are we may just have a shot of pulling this thing out and some how salvaging the rest of this season

GO VOLS!!!!!!
BEAT THE IRISH!!!!!!!!!

Weis sees us a dangerous team. Not dangerous in the way of being a complete team, dangerous in a way that he knows what Fulmer has done, he knows that we have some good players that haven't done anything.....yet and he knows that this team MIGHT wake up and start playing some good football before the season is over. That and we have a pretty good defense.
