What CAN the coaches do about the QB situation?

i do agree, though...if he stayed at UT next year, he'd probably hear a lot more than he wanted to. he could always drop out early and go work for espn.
Ha Ha! But I could more likely see him as a gopher for Rep. Shuler (assuming he stays in DC). And I'm in no mood to start on that subject - besides I'd have to move to a diff. forum!

i'm 100% happy with TN putting Gerald Jones @ QB -- but I really believe that they need to start using the "wild hog" aka "wild rebel" style with him every once in a while.

Making the zone read is a good play, but when there is a WR/RB coming in motion at full speed and you fake a handoff to him -- you're making the LBs freeze for that 1 second.

That's what TN's "g-gun" is missing. There has to be that threat of giving the ball to a guy running full speed on a sweep in order to keep the defense honest. Otherwise they know that regardless of who's got the ball, it's going up the middle of the field somewhere.

Play stephens the whole game, even if it means losing to NIU. Were going nowhere fast anyway..

Many of the best QBs in CF are from Jon's class. He has no vision, he looks down to one at most two recievers. Then when they are open, he throws a pass 10 yds away or high/low/behind, or they drop it....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! He looks so bad. Get with it JC! This game is a QB problem & the last one. If you can't exicute a play, the best coach couldn't win! In reality, the FL game could have been 21-30 and not quite so nasty. This game was winnable, but JC put crap up, so winning was out of reach.
