What about Merk?

What about him. He chose his future and you live with his decisions. I don't think is is as talented as any of the QBs we already have on the roster. Would be a waste for him and the team. Just saw he has already committed to U Conn. Hope he does well there.

Merklinger is an interception machine. He was not, is not, and will not be the answer. He was only named #2 to keep him from transferring because the team needed 3 qbs. There is a reason you haven't even heard of him even visiting another school yet.
Interception machine? How do you figure he has no interceptions based on his stats in two years of limited play. I'm not saying he was or is anything but he was like George a backup who should have had more play time this year knowing we would need a qb this coming year.

I'm not sure how we can judge Merk or Mac off such a small sample last year.
Merk threw 24 passes and Mac threw 9.
The big issue is we had games they both should have played valuable minutes.
No experience last year and here we are again. Now it looks like we can't even go buy a qb.
Or, we don't choose to, just yet. 🤔

Chess, not checkers.
