He's a Tennessee legend, having coached championship teams at Carson-Newman. His integrity is impeccable. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned as a candidate if Dooley isn't retained.
I know him. So add me to the list. He's a good guy and a long term good coach. We came out of the same part of town. He's through with coaching. He'll enjoy the retirement.
You obviously were not on the sideline for his five NCs. He won't be Tennessee's coach, but is not because he isn't a good coach. He's like 68 years old with cancer.
