This has been noted in various ways, but 10-2, ranked 7 at the end of the regular season, ranked most of the season (as high as 1-2 tie), same record across the board as Alabama (except higher offensive output for the Vols), beat said Alabama along with Florida and LSU, playoff contender, Heisman candidate QB out of nowhere, a second year coach nobody had heard of who turned the culture 180 around and filled the stadium with reenergized fans...

I'd say that's pretty remarkable and if you'd told me in January that this was possible I wouldn't have believed you.

Go Vols! Congratulations on an amazing season.

We'll finish higher in the rankings once everyone above us starts eating each other in playoffs and bowls. Great year though !

Tennessee football at its best is good for college football, period.

This year has been incredible to watch. I started really following the Vols in 2009, when Kiffin took over (and when I discovered this site). This was the best season I've ever seen since I became a true fan. Sure, we left a sour taste in South Carolina. But, thats why only 1 team wins it all. It is truly tough to run the table, and we aren't ready for that yet. But you have to think the future is incredibly bright on Rocky Top.

Combine our football success with our baseball, basketball, women's basketball... If all of those programs get rolling, it's going to be an amazing ride.

Agreed. People around here cant let the Sce loss go. Yeah we choked but its not changing. After many many years of nearly all negative events...how cann we not be thrilled with this season? This program is starting to learn how to win again! Look Sec!

Yes, depending on what our bowl matchup winds up being, it is entirely conceivable we could finish in the top 5 when the final polls come out. And, realistically, nobody in their right mind would have regarded that as a legitimate possibility at the beginning of this season.

Great year with a lot of things to be happy with. Best season I have experienced since becoming a fan in 2003, or at least tied. I don’t remember much about that season but we lost the bowl to go 10-3 so if we win definitely better, if we lose no worse and really I think for me personally better since we are doing it after being in the wilderness for well over a decade.

Coach Heupel had a well-established reputation before coming to Tennessee.
And
I told you in January. You just forgot.
