I agree, but watch, KU and Zags will be sweet 16 teams. Put that on a sticky note on your fridge.

Wow... the football team was bad enough(I won't talk about it) but now the Bball team has been embarrassed 3 times on National TV losing to 3 unranked opponents(Temple, Kansas, and Gonzaga.) The only team that we have beaten that is worth some thing is G'town.

:bad:

Ray Mears won ugly back in the day of the four corners before the shot clock.
Don Devoe was a good coach

You must not have watched the Mears' teams from the mid 70s. They averaged well over 80 points/game with no shot clock and no three pointers. Quite honestly, UT has never had as good an offensive team as they had during the King/Grunfeld years. King/Grunfeld averaged 50 points/game, plus Mike Jackson averaged 16 points and Reggie Johnson 11. Johnny Darden brought up the rear with 9 points/game and 8 assists/game. King also averaged around 12.5 rebounds/game for his career.

Great year for your spelling bee too. Atheletics??????.....pard it is only 3 syllables, not four.

be glad you didn't see the 101-40 loss to UK

I did....I was THERE...What a freakin nightmare that was...I can still remember the Rupp arena crowd giving Allan Houston a standing ovation after his first points in the game with 6 minutes remaining in the game...I have never in my life been more embarrassed leaving an arena than that night...Even the other fans there didn't harass us after that loss, I guess they felt sorry for us :cray:
