Don't forget Joe Young at RB, too, Skasper. He done good in Vandy game, got his first collegiate TD run. :good!:

And Eli Wolf at TE, behind his big brother.

And Boulware may make some noise to get into the OLine 2-deep.

Future is bright. :)

I don't see Sh. Jones being able to get on the field much with that depth chart. Being from California, wouldn't surprise me if he transferred somewhere with a better depth chart closer to home after the Spring.

Or Dormady...whoever loses out as the backup. If Butch slow plays it, it may steal a season for both.

Get ready, attrition is coming. Jones would actually make sense.

I think these projected depth charts won't even be valid come spring. I expect lots of movement.

It looks like the Vols will finally have some quality depth across the board and especially on both lines. It's hard to deny the job Butch and his staff have done rebuilding this roster with talented SEC caliber players.

I will give him that. Recruiting has been solid

Word is he might be getting a 6th year of eligibility. He wasn't honored during senior night for that reason.

I don't think the NCAA rules that fast. Doubt they skipped his honoring on optimistic speculation.

I hope so, too. But LWS brought info in the other thread discussing MJ.

Hubbs said he didn't want to go through the T and he is wanting to get into Law school. Did not mention anything about future at UT..

Do we expect to hear draft announcements, medical redshirts that will return, etc before the bowl game or after?

Not sure why Joe Young didn't get more recruiting love... but to me he looked at least as good if not better than Kelly. A year in the weight room and he might be a contributor.

Don't think Cam should leave either. As of now he has been a middle round draft pick by most analysts. He really needs to return for his SR year.

The big key on O is keeping WR's healthy for the first time since Jones arrived at UT. With or without Jackson, you can plug and play a number of good looking OL's out of that group. I think TE is more of a concern than some. Creamer and Johnson really need to take a big step forward. Stocstill will be critical as an HB without Ellis.

Gaulden isn't big enough to play safety and they need him at NB. The only way I can figure that position going into next year is if they switch Jennings. Judging from his ST's play, he'd be a big time S.

Don't sleep on Taylor at DE.

Good list. Some corrections:

(1) I'd hold off on anointing North a #1 receiver. If he's back 100% healthy next year, that will simply be a pleasant surprise. Right now, I'd consider Josh Malone our #1 receiver. Malone, Smith, and Jennings may be our top 3.

(2) Seems like Dontavius Blair is a bust. If he cracks the 2-deep next season, that would be yet another welcome surprise.

(3) Don't forget Darrell Taylor. He could play at DE or maybe OLB. He'll be a RS Freshman. IMO, it's more likely you'll see him emerge next year than Butcher.

(4) Also should add Jakob Johnson at TE.

The secondary is going to be the one area of concern next season, as we'll likely lose a lot of top guys, including Cam Sutton, LaDarrell McNeil, and Brian Randolph. That's particularly going to hurt us against Virginia Tech (with new coach Justin Fuente being an air raid guy) and Texas A&M.

I like Hall starting a LT because of the reps he has gotten this year. Very impressed with the way Hall stepped in and pushed defenders around. Richmond to RT if he can beat out Kendrick. Thoughts?
