The current starters have been competing hard to earn their spots for the last 9 months. Now they get replaced/limited by guys who graduated and tried to go pro and want to wander back for a paycheck? Sorry but that dog won’t hunt for me.

The Vols are doing exactly what they should be doing, and that is getting ready for the season with the guys that have been there. The vast majority of universities are totally against this. The media and the drama lovers pile on. All I care about is kickoff and football season. Let LSU have the drama, we will be ready in November. GBO

there is competing and then there is having the rules/standards changed on you for someone else's benefit.

it would be competition if these NFL guys had never left the team and were there every day alongside the new comers.

as it is, its going to feel like the line is getting cut by people who couldn't cut it at a higher level.

I think a school should operate under the rules…whatever the rules may be. A school only hurts it by taking the moral high ground while its competitors take full advantage of the rules.

To be clear, I don’t like or agree with any of it. College football is being systematically destroyed IMO. But you gotta play the cards as they are dealt.

they are destroying juco with all this bs by the way. juco players already have to compete with the portal, now they could be competing against nfl hopefuls

Having thought this situation all the way through, I don't support bringing Moi or West back. The risk:reward ratio makes no sense.

Part of me says don’t invite unnecessary SEC drama or something that could bite us later. But the other part says if other programs are willing to push the envelope while we play nice, are we putting ourselves at a disadvantage?

NCAA could have easily prevented this by ruling earlier in the year, and grandfathering 2026 4th year players. They could have simply said, you have a 5th year, but if you are drafted or sign with an NFL team, you’re done /
