THIS is exactly the way. There is no longer right or wrong in College sports, only what you can make happen and get away with. The rules have shifted and so must anyone who wants to remain with a meaningful seat at the table.

Roster creation 101: if Kiffin does it, don’t do it. There’s a different between flipping off the NCAA (Playing Arion Carter on Saturday would do that) and just being an *******, these players had their chance in college already, have NFL experience and didn’t make the most of it. There’s a difference between giving the NCAA the bird and ruining the integrity of the sport

I don't think we should go down the path that LSU apparently is if for no other reason:

The CFP could exact its revenge on any team down the road.

Could LSU/Tennessee exploit the current situation, load up on recently waived NFL players, win 11 games and then have the CFP retaliate?

The CFP probably could not safely invent an explicit NFL-player disqualification after the fact. But its subjective ranking process gives it substantially more practical maneuvering room than the written qualification rules might suggest.

And, bam... the CFP picks a team other than LSU to be in the playoffs.

NO, once gone, no coming back. I blame the ncaa for all of this. They should have worded the "new" rule effective next season, therefore the players from last year wouldn't have been left out and had a need to do all of this ridiculous stuff.

I'd have my attorney call Sankey's attorney and try to find out where this is headed. If there's nothing the SEC can do to stop LSU or other teams, I'd get in on the action. If the SEC is going to stand its ground and fight LSU, I'd leave it alone.

stay away. UT doesn't get favorable rulings from Judges like other schools do. NCAA will 100% use as the whipping boy, even if LSU started it, and even if we win in the end against the NCAA it will be years of issues from something that isn't a good thing.

Do whatever helps you win now, as long as it’s allowed. Sankey was the one who implemented the 9 game conference schedule. Last year’s depth wasn’t enough, so conventional wisdom tells us that same depth won’t be enough with the added difficulty.

The Big 10 used Michigan’s cheating to claw back the NCAA title. Why should we wait for them to make the first move this time?

What integrity? Michigan still has the 2023 national championship. Reggie Bush still has his Heisman trophy.

College football is already being destroyed because of MONEY, allowing NFL players will only make it worse. It's sad it is being debated. No matter what Lame Kitten says, this is bad for college football. It is college football. The players are suppose to be student athletes. It's disgusting this topic is even a topic of discussion. The billionaires are taking over college football. I'm wasting time responding to this, because in today's world no one really cares about rules, traditions, etc. anymore. Maybe soon every sport will be a video game with VR goggles.

If you go watch the video from Lane's presser yesterday when he was asked about how his players felt about bringing these players in, you can just see in his mannerisms that he was lying with his answers. He fumbled over words, stuttered with nonsense that his team LEADERS were all for it. Hence, TEAM LEADERS- guys that are probably starters with secure positions and not the other regular players.

Kiffin sounded uncomposed and not convincing imo.

Not sure I understand that position. If we picked up Moi and West, I think most of our other players would be really excited. And pumped. Unless of course both these guys were totally a-holes which I've never heard that.

I’m not sure I’d be excited if I were the players whose PT was getting lowered or eliminated.
