West TN Roads??

My wife and I will be travelling today from Nashville to Union City, TN. I am hearing to use caution on I-40, but it should be ok for travel. Does anyone know about Hwy 22?

My folks are from Union City and they always go Hwy22. Always take the by-pass and just follow the sign. The other option is to go to Jackson and head up 45. It is 4 lane most of the way now but so is Hwy 22. If your worried about the weather check with TN Highway Patrol for road conditions. I live in VA now so I don't know what is going with the weather. To avoid I-40 altogether take Hwy 70 to Hwy 22 but has some traffic lights.
