With CBJ's comment about the team being "too high" (talking about pad level) is now a front page article on MSN sports (NCAAFB). His intentional misrepresentation of what was said is now an article for all of the college football world to see. Now we have other reporters questioning if our coach is smoking pot with our players. This guy needs to go.

This is the problem with sensationalist reporters. They don't care they just want attention, Rucker is a PRICK! GBO!

Just another case of reporters not doing their homework. Neither Rucker or the MSN reporter have any business in the journalism field. This is a prime example of what is wrong with the media.

Anyone who actually reads the article will understand there's nothing to see here. That said, Wilson should be embarrassed for having written it.

And, Rucker? Wow, what a moron.

I'm not going to blame Rucker for some idiot reporter writing what can only be described as a "report" in the loosest way possible. If the reporter can't do 3 seconds of research to find the full quote, then that's on them.

Rucker didnt write the article.

Anyone on social media could have said that after the press conference. Not defending Rucker, cause im not a fan of his either, but are we seriously advocating people not habe fun on social media?

Isnt 24/7 a paid site? If you want to effect change, cut your memberships and ensure you let management know why.

Here's why I blame Rucker...he intentionally misquoted CBJ to try and get a laugh on Twitter. However, most people outside of this fan base who read this article are not going to do the research for the whole quote just like the reporter who posted the story on MSN. This kind of nonsense snowballs out of control on a daily basis in the media. As a journalist you have a responsibility to yourself and the parties involved to get it correct.

So because people are idiots, that's Rucker's fault?

No. It's Rucker's fault as a so called journalist to purposefully misquote something that can be taken out of context. Especially in today's media environment.

Or he posted what he thought was a humorous tweet and some moron reporter ran with it.

He can't babysit everyone and/or think for them.

Should this thread be merged with the "possible bad news coming" thread?

Only in Tennessee would a coaches comment about the team being too high, correspond with the timing of players failing drug test.
