With Dobbs proving that our offense is better designed for a mobile QB, could 4* Jauan Jennings have a better chance to be our future QB than Dormady?

I personally think so... And I would have never even considered that 3 weeks ago.

Dormady can still move. He's not Dobbs, but he sure as hell isn't Worley either.

No. Dormady runs a 4.5-4.6 same as Dobbs. He will be just as good. Not saying Jennings won't be though.

Dobbs is locked in there for 2 more years. Will be nice to have some young guys in the program for that long behind him.

Yeah...absolute statements are dumb...don't go to the other extreme...how about we continue the plan to sign both and let the one who runs the offense better start after Dobbs graduates? Don't forget Kendall...nice blend of both...one year behind.

Props LittleCat - I appreciate the fact you can swallow what's happening to your first team and show interest in your second.

I was referring to the QB after Dobbs graduates or, God forbid, Dobbs gets hurt in the next 2 seasons.

His inability to throw downfield bothers me...he is also high with short passes. His decisions to run are excellent. We should be up 37-10 now...then we give up 3 points at the end. Geez I am getting sick of the darn short kicks. Butch is going to keep this crap up and people are going to start referring to him as "Coach Cletus P Fulmer"...

Yes. There are no guarantees of course, but it seems like the majority of fans/posters consider Dormady the front runner for future starter.

We'll see...let's elect a new President first. :glare:

The majority were also Riley Ferguson fans and more than a few thought Dobbs wasn't SEC material.

Dormandy comes in at the same place on the depth chart as Jennings. 3a and 3b.

Not even worth talking about right now honestly. For all we know we could sign a 5* all-everything QB before then. Just enjoy the present and the next couple of years without a real QB competition.

Austin Kendall has some real swagger at QB, as does Juan Jennings. Dormady is more of an unknown at this point, his is extremely well coached apparently has really great footwork, is quite mobile, has a nice frame etc...pretty much all the intangibles you look for... but hasn't exactly had the best talent to work with so we won't really get a good idea until he steps foot on campus.

I have no idea but a killer question.
