I think the majority of people had the realistic goal this season at winning East Div and getting to Atl.

And it's within our grasp again. We are EXACTLY where we were the week of the UF LSU game when Evade Gate kicked in. And frankly our chances are better now than they were then! A better playing LSU team at home instead of on the road? Cool beans to me!

Yep agree no valid reason to crap the bed with USCjr. Should never have happened. But it did so we have to deal with it. But lo and behold we're still on track!

If we take care of business in the remaining games as we should we will be in Atl. If we lose any of them we shouldn't be there anyway. And if we take care of business we will be ranked again also. No way a 3 loss SECE winner doesn't end the season ranked.

Our preseason goal is still achievable. Now we're just *****ing at each other over the style points is all.

We lost to South Carolina..... underperforming this season is much more than a "perception"

Still complaining about the style points! Like you do all the time!

The only recorded stats are W-L, Conf/Div Champ, and Bowl game appearance.

Couldn't find "chatt-townVOL's style points accumulation record" in a quick Google search!

well, aesthetics aside, simply, we're still in the race for the SEC East, so there's that...:loco:

GO VOLS...RUN THE TABLE!

Winning the east is like hanging final 4 banners it just means you weren't good enough

Five bricks up, 4 bricks down, 6 bricks up (big gains, only to lose key games in the 4th last year; way behind, then winning in the 4th with hail mary's this year; key player leaves program for whatever reason; boos and f-the-boos; big win over TTech)--- it's not the cycle I prefer, but it I suppose that's progress.

Come on John Kelly and Barnett, let's win out and get to ATL.

No it isn't. But as long as we're going forward I'm with them. Not saying I won't complain a little along the way (USCjr?! Are you $&@"ing me?!) but keep slogging forward and we will eventually get there.

How do you figure that? UT is in a position where it needs UF to lose (in addition to UT winning out). Prior to Oct. 8th UT controlled it's own destiny.

Lol now you are just twisting the perception of the team to make it seem like they are underperforming.

How are they not? Tennessee is loaded with Talent and needed a lot of help and a miracle against: app st, Ohio, ATM, lost to SC, and got blown out against Alabama the same team they were within 4 points of in Tuscaloosa.

The coaches don't prepare enough and some are just plain bad.

The week of UF LSU while we still were undefeated even then the expectation was LSU would beat them and completely remove them from contention. And give us help controlling our own destiny due to Bama and aTm lined up.

You are technically correct in your point. Even if you straw manned it.

Btw even that week UT still had to win out to control their own destiny. And we didn't. But yet here we are again.

Nope, we are where we are because we pulled a Tennessee and pissed the bed rather than take care of business against a terrible SC team.

Our potential this year was far above "just win the East"

Perhaps, but that potential didn't include becoming a MASH unit. If this team finishes 9-3 and then wins their bowl game then it's been a good year IMO..... I say this in spite of the team's inconsistency and other issues.

When SC beats FL this week, can we quit calling them a bad team? This kid at QB is making them a much better team.

Someone posted last night that if the Vols win out they're 5-1 in the East and that the Gators will also be 5-1 in the east should the beat SC and lose to LSU. The ugly of the SC loss won't wash off, but it is what it is at this point.

On behalf of all if us trying to win the season pick contest I support your decision to pick South Carolina beating Florida.

No. Beating FL isn't going to make SC a good team. Hell they struggled with Missouri yesterday.

It's pretty obvious UF isn't nearly as good as people thought.
