from seeing a decent Tennessee football team, imo. It sucks to keep waiting and waiting but things happen and we have to continue to be patient.

It's not that much longer, really, the day will come.

I don't want to see decent, I want to see dominant. But decent is at least better than we are at the moment.

I think we're only one year from being decent and two years away from being a contender in the SEC East...Three years I say NC Contenders!!! Hoping Anyway!

UT will be better next year IMO. I like WR with RogersX2, Milton, Hunter, then whoever they add (hopefully Arnett). I like the RB's who all return plus Smith and possibly Buie.

I like the OL who will return everyone except Shaw and will hopefully add even more help. I'm even more encouraged by the OL because of what Wylie did with them in only 7 months. What will he do with a full cycle?

I like DE. Williams and Walker will be losses but Bohannon, Jackson, Smith, Miller (if he isn't a DT), plus the '11 additions will be a great group. LB is the biggest hit with losing Frazier, Reviez, and Thompson but there's really good young talent there too.

Wolf is the only senior listed in the secondary.

All three QB's are back plus whoever they pick up.

TE is a concern primarily because of numbers. I think Rivera can be very good. Hopefully Powers will be able to contribute alot and early.

They may invest in blood this year but should get high returns next year.

Kicking is set for 3 or 4 years.

+1..georgia, s carolina, clemson, gt, nc...they've all been decent recently...I think we belong in a category above them...our day will come again..our freshmen and sphmores are gonna make some real noise in a yr or two. I just hope Dooley and co can recruit good enough classes to help get the ball rolling, bc once we start winning again, 4*s will be knocking down our door.

I don't want "stars"... I want football players. The two aren't always synonymous.

I don't mind investing in raw talent. Take them. Rebuild them. Coach them. Play them.

I'll take Poole and give you Creer or a number of other 4* studs that have busted at UT.

The key is finding those guys and Dooley seems to have a method he really believes in for doing that.

Yep, I agree. I'm so sick of seeing us wallow in mediocrity. College Football is better when Tennessee is relevant.

I think we're decent this year ... the Vols lack experience is the only problem ... if Dooley can get the team to not give up when their down, they will do alot better ... it seems after Simms pick they just gave up ... don't forget they were doing great the first half ... just keep it going for two halves, thats the key ..

MOST of the time, the best football players have 4 or 5 stars beside their name, and/or are being recruited by heavyweight schools. There r exceptions both ways, but for the most part, u can't win CONSISTENTLY in the sec having the 30th ranked recruiting class every year. See- uk, vandy.. but I believe the staff will get their guys. Might take a yr or two or three to beat out big schools for the ones they REALLY want though

I should have said very good instead of decent. I just meant that things would be much better at that point.

I'd even go as far to say that we will be pretty good next year. We just won't have the depth to prove it.

P.S. We have the same avatar.

its like the year the Expos were way out in first place and then baseball went on strike... we'll be prepping for the BCS title game and then boom.. December 2012 rolls around and the world ends.
