Instead of accecting mediocrity in basketball, we do it in football now and look forward to basketball.

My what a difference a few years makes.

How bad is it when you are at a football game and your basketball coach gets more of an ovation than the football coach?

One trip to the Sweet 16 and suddenly we're a basketball school? haha We didn't even win our division in our conference.

Bruce Pearl is great and the basketball team is exciting, but we're hardly a basketball school. One dream season and lofty pre-season expectations doesn't outdo football.

This is a foolish assumption that people are making because one sport is high while the other is low.

Let's at least accomplish ONE thing in basketball before throwing the football team completely under the bus.

This whole assertion that we can only be a "football school" or a "basketball school" is absurd. Look ... you can definitely be both. I wouldn't say we're a basketball school just yet, because I think that takes a longstanding tradition.

I will say this ... as for 2007, bring on basketball season. I can't stand watching Tennessee getting so outclassed on the football field, some players acting like they don't care, and coaches never admitting that maybe they're part of the problem.

Good post amoebavol.

It's like the idiots on television calling Florida a basketball school, just to have the football team come back and win the NC.

Is Ohio St now a basketball school?

Is Kentucky now a football school?

Just dumb.

But honestly, did you ever think there would be a time that the bball team would be more revered that football? Honestly.
