We're banking on the run... is it going to work?

We've heard the O-line has made significant progress in their run blocking over the off season. We have a stable of healthy running backs that are focused on avoiding turnovers. Supposedly we have toughened up mentally and physically. Cal's defensive line isn't a team strength.

So the odds appear to be that we'll have some success running the ball. Any doubters, not here? I'm predicting 225 yards rushing on 50 attempts, 150 passing on approx 10-17 comp/att.

Yes, we will look very solid running the ball. If not, I'll need to find some recipies for crow.

Don't worry UT. Even I expect a more effective running attack this year. If the coaching staff was not expecting such strong support from the line an the backs, they would have instituted their menuing system in June.

They expect to be able to run the ball down Cal's throat.

i don't think we will run for 150.

If we are able to run over teams early on in the season. That should just make us that much more dangerous as the season wears on when our WR's get more seasoned.

One of Cals weaknesses is their D line. We need to stuff it down their throats and keep their offense off the field!!

Foster- 88 rushing yards, 2 TD
Hardesty-92 rushing yards, 1 TD
Creer-22 rushing yards

Ainge- 13-18, 155 yards, 1 TD

Rogers- 86 recieving yards on 4 catches, 1 TD
Taylor- 30 recieving yards on 2 catches
Brown- 28 recieving yards on 4 catches
Briscoe- 7 recieving yards on 1 catch
Foster- 4 recieving yards on 1 catch

As long as it's a close game, I'll say between 150-175 rushing. You have to believe Cal will be planning on us running the ball heavily.
